Defense keeps giving up late 4th Q drives

Spot on, tough to blame a D for the lack of scoring. 17 points against a team that averages 30 won't cut it, not to mention 7 came on a long run. 9 empty trips, 6 straight including 2 in OT. Tough to hold up much longer, most teams would fold all things considered. The D even threw in a score...

Why The Patriots Would Have Beat The Bengals

:13: The numbers support that, switch QB stats and the Super Bowl outcome is very different. You're not going to an many games scoring 17 points, 10 on the arm of your QB. 1 TD and 1 INT won't cut it unless the D playing to perfection, which we know ours isn't right now. Tough to tell if there's...

    Russell Wilson

Yet these great numbers don't equate to the scoreboard, 1 TD and 1 INT isn't going to win many games. Neither will 13 and 17 points. Or 9 scoreless possessions againat an elite O. Russ is a good QB, there's no questioning that... But until he starts putting points on the scoreboard, the D is...

Ray Lewis has strong words on Kam situation

Kam needs to listen to a legend... I undeerstand his stance, and even support it to an extent. But when it comes down to it, you're a football player. Let's go 3-1!

Kind of interesting - we didn't take 1 shot down the field

:13: :13: Russ threw 41 times, and had 1 TD. That simply isnt enough from your QB, regardless of completion % or the o line. We were 1 for 4 in the redone, and the horrible pick led to an automatic FG. Yes, the line wasn't perfect... But again, 41 throws makes 6 sacks sound pretty good...

    Impressive win?

Yes, and in dominating fashion. Enjoy it!

    Kam Kickoff tackle celebration....

Attitude and swagger is back in full effect, the team (especially our D) is oozing with confidence and walk the talk like performances again.

    Cris Carter......

He looked at the stats, which I talked about in another thread... Statistically our WR's are very good, they just lack targets. 211 catch attempts which is 30th in the league. Yet they catch 68.2 of those passes, 2nd in the NFL. Sure hands as well, they drop 2.4 of the targets they see for 6th...

    Russell's Growth

Seattle wide receivers have been targeted 211 times this year, for 30th in the whole NFL. Yet they catch 68.2 of the balls thrown to them, sitting behind only one team at 2nd in the league. They rarely drop a ball, 2.4 of the times targeted they let a pass go thru their hands which is 6th in the...

    Run Defense Must Improve

I thought our run D was great, it got tired from seven 3 and outs in a row by our O if of ask me. Longer drive means more rest for our bad boys to get back out there ready to go.

    WRs

You can't blame the WR's when they don't have chances to make a catch, and that's a major difference in our big games on O and our slug races. Throw it up more to our guys and they will make plays, separation won't always be there but in one on one coverage it doesn't matter. Circus grabs...

We will not win pretty and it's by design.

I completely agree with everything you said, except I don't care what the reason is when it comes to a QB playing like RW the last 5 games. He's had a helluva year, so there's no debate from me overall he was great. That being said, it's alarming to the eye if you struggle to pass some games...

    Disgusted.

That's usually the case when we struggle to score, he needs to let his guys make plays sometimes. RW has had a helluva year and is only going to get better. I personally believe he will be a future HOF'er, but 11 completions for 108 yards is all I need to say. Take his name off of those stats...

Run the football to set up play action

Lynch averaged 4 yards per carry against the #1 run defense in the NFL, sounds pretty good to me. 11 completions for 108 yards is the stat that should stand out, not our run game or defense. It was tough yards today for sure, but it wasn't the issue. I think RW can be too cerebral at times, not...

Random Thoughts™ on the Giants game

This, and this. Lynch is going up against good run defenses that are aiming to stop him and the read first and foremost. Often it opens up the doors for RW to have huge passing games, like he could of had yesterday. 5 picks by our D and a Giants D aiming to stop the run, should of/could of have...
