    9'ers fumbled the coin toss

It allowed their defense to rest while putting KC's right back on the field. In theory it was logical, but it really only works if you can get a TD on that opening drive and get a 4th down stop or takeaway. A punt lets a FG win it, and a FG lets a TD win it. A stop is obviously the best case...

NFL Viewing Map Week 10 (National Game)

I like how the early CBS single game is zoned to deliberately shove more Russell in our face.

    Defense

Eh, the last one was kinda bogus as it was clearly a recovered fumble a few plays before that. Needs to be 'full completion of a football move' my ass.

Arizona makes me nervous. Not the team. The place.

It's an awful field. Kickers rate it among the worst surface, always lots of non-contact injuries, and it was an ice rink for the Auburn/Oregon NCCG.

    DK Metcalf is a beast

You couldn't see it on the broadcast angle, but he also had an assist on Walker's TD. The play was supposed to go to the right but Walker cut it back left, so DK took off on a fake corner fade route to take the defender with him and even put his hands up and looked back for the ball to sell it.

    GB VS AZ

Yes, but he wasn't limping nearly as bad before that play. Suddenly after, it was 5x worse. He went front acting like he stubbed his toe to having stepped on a pile of broken glass.

    The Raiders are bad!

Here's the OT part anyway: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H5KiJFx8S4I The same thing happens in AZ's stadium because they water the grass outside all week, and then bring it in with the roof closed. It was early February when Eli saved us all from 19-0 and players were cramping up in that SB...

    The Raiders are bad!

Even more fun if you watched the Manningcast on ESPN2 with Wilson on for the 4th quarter/OT.

Bananas may have saved us all from having to hear about 19-0 (Giants/Pats vol.1). Everyone was cramping up in that stupid AZ stadium (hey let's water the hell out of the sod outside and then bring it in and play with the roof closed) and the Giants trainers brought some boxes of bananas to the...

    Super Bowl game thread

It was a one possession game until then, and neither offense was really doing much. We can speculate forever about the butterfly effect that it had on the second half, but a one possession game is a lot different than a two possession game. Obviously TB had a great gameplan on defense, but a...

    Super Bowl game thread

Yep, when both of his starting tackles are out. But this game was over when the refs walked TB to the end zone on back to back awful DPI calls on balls that weren't even catchable.

    Mahomes out due to concussion

Looked more like he got choked out for a second with that arm around his neck on the way down, he'll be fine. Brief period of low blood pressure to the brain = syncopal episode, especially with how he looked trying to get up.

Mason Rudolph to face Browns--how many more QBs go down

Burden of proof is on the accuser, and if it were true (or if he wanted it to be perceived as true), Garrett should have come forward with it immediately instead of having it leaked a week after the fact. You'd better bring the receipts pronto for an accusation like that. If it were truly worthy...

Since when do refs get to fix players mistakes?

I don't think it should have been a fumble in this instance because it was pretty obvious given the context of the situation in the game, but there needs to be something in the rules that a player can do to signal that they are giving themselves up. It's not like that Texans kick return where...
