I would rather trade Russ for draft picks and then go get the best QB in the draft. That does a couple of things. First, it will free up a ton of cap space. Second, as we transition to a new head coach in a year or two there won't be the franchise QB vs. new head coach battle.
They qualified their analysis in the first sentence, "With only three picks." There is no way they were going to give a glowing review over other teams with far more picks. They would have to justify a good grade on too few players.
69 turned 21 in Vietnam. They were putting in the footings for the King Dome when the Air Force sent me from McChord to Germany. Made it back to McChord in 79'. Spent the last 13 years of my career there. Had season tickets for 8 years. Still following the Hawks from Utah.
Yeah, let the fans pick the players. Good grief. Then there would be those that would be pissed off because the herd didn`t pick their favorite player.
I don`t know what the wins will be but my main concern is with the secondary. It`s not good yet. My hope is that a good pass rush will help. Teams will beat us with the pass if we can`t get to the qb.
Keeping both 1st round picks would be a shocker to me. Trading one and keeping one is more in line with how a believe the Hawks think. But trading both 1st round picks would not surprise me at all. Some desperate teams may make offers that John and Pete can't pass up.
