Well this is sad to see. The truth of the matter we all love our Hawks, but with Pete not having a "real" backup plan at QB when they traded Russell is proving not to be wise. On top of that the poor choices @ OC & DC is really beginning to show. This team still has holes, manly due to 7 years of crappy drafts. I now this will come across "toxic" but it's time for an overhaul. We need a new offensive minded coach new OC & DC, and draft your QB of the future Daniels, McCarthy or Penix, then due to his misfortune draft Jordan Travis in the 5th rd. We are nothing without a legit QB so I feel it's time to make the inveatment!

I'm Not delusional... my reasoning for being optimistic is perfectly reasonable.

Your more delusional... hating on the team you love because you don't want to be disappointed
.. that's massively DELUSIONAL... sorry man but it just is.

LTH
Lol ok. Has nothing to do with what I want, it has everything to do with what I've been watching for years. That's called accepting reality, which would be the opposite of delusional.

I don't know what's going to happen. I'm hoping they beat the Niners or at least play them tough to encourage me the Hawks have a chance to beat the Eagles in Seattle. If they can take the Eagles and then win the last 3, 10-7 makes the play offs then anything can happen.

LTH

That's the ceiling you know right LTH? It's fine to be optimistic, but in all likelihood they will drop the next two and probably only win two more at the most if that. If they do somehow make the playoffs, I don't prescribe to the anything can happen analogy. They are almost guaranteed to be first round fodder as usual.

I know that sounds dire, but that's the realistic approach. You still hold out hope and have expectations and that's great. I just don't. Pete and the boys have just burnt me to many times now. I'm just waiting on the next organizational change so that some new excitement can be injected into the team.

Here is the thing... Holmgren used to say all you have to do is make the play offs then the season starts over its 0-0. It's the team's that are playing really well at that point that advance.

I don't know what's going to happen... I just know that I want the Hawks to go as far as they can and I don't think their is a ceiling... if they lose in the first round then they lose... if they move further that's great it's icing on the cake. But until then nobody knows and we should hold out hope for a great season.

When the off season comes we can talk about what needs to be done based off of the season and how it panned out.

Actually, by definition, you are delusional by claiming they are not regressing based off one good offensive performance in weeks, when we have a sample size of nearly a decade showing regression, inability to adapt to what other teams are doing, and inability to win a playoff game against even lower tier playoff teams. Saying there's no shame in losing 4 out of 5 games is deluding yourself. Getting exited about losing the Cowboys game because they did better in the RedZone and 3rd down while going 4 and out on the game winning drive and showing they don't know how to fix the defense is delusional.

This was a fun 6-page Monday morning read. Biggest take-aways:
  • if it's not positive, it's toxic
  • if you don't agree with me, you're spreading vitriol
  • dealing with different perspectives is really hard for some
  • people can't "just not read it then"

Argumentative, obnoxious and arrogant posts like this are why Mongo left, and why I for one don't engage with you. Too toxic, indeed. Searching for the ignore button...

I guess I’m having a hard time following. So being critical at all of anything team related is toxic and means we’re too dumb to really know what’s going on? That premise seems toxic ironically.
So hmm, immersing ones-self in constant Negativity isn't "Toxic"? LOL
Look, I get it, it's not like I'm unaware of the bad plays, boneheaded Coaching mistakes, out of position players, poor angles, whiffs, & Blunders, see, I've been a Seahawks fan right from the beginning, so I've seen entire seasons of LESS than mediocre team play in that time, I've also seen a LOT of upside Coaching 2 Super Bowl appearances AND a Lombardi in the last 13 years.
In my 76 years, I've had more than enough grief, Lost loved ones, seen depression ruin some friends & family, so I won't let myself get sucked into what seems like a constant negativity.

I think it's just in humanity in general....it's just more concentrated here when it comes to the Seahawks and the fans.
