49ers. :)

Too easy....

Leaving out my OWN team....I'd say Hawks but leaving them out as well?

...I'll go with Falcons. Not a fan of Matt Ryan, but they have been knocking on that door for a long time now. They are due.

Ryan's good, not great; but he's got 3 REALLY good receiving weapons, which is almost unfair. Just a bit better defensive performance by them, and they're knocking on the door of a Super Bowl appearance, unfortunately.

The title makes me cringe, is it really that hard to have half-decent spelling and grammar?

NFC: Saints

AFC: Patriots, I guess. I don't think the AFC wins the Super Bowl this year, though.

No way on the Saints.

Same reason I don't see the Packers....or the Pats for that matter.

For a few years there if you had a monster O and a bad D, it was OK and you might get somewhere. That doesn't work anymore. Teams like the 49ers and Seattle eat those teams for lunch. Nobody is winning the big dance unless they are somewhat balanced. Atlanta isn't really balanced either....which is why my first 2 guesses were the Niners and Hawks.

My reasoning:

NFC Entrant to the Super Bowl has played the AFC East for the past 8 years (or something ridiculous like that.) NFC South plays AFC East.

Payton is back and pissed. He's planning on running up the score this year, and a Super Bowl would be extra special desserts.

They still have Drew Brees.

I (generally) like the Saints and think they can overcome their defensive struggles.

In conclusion: It's my pick, and the NFL is unpredictable enough that it can happen. :th2thumbs:

HEHEHE!

Ya...of course...anything can happen (who saw the Ravens winningit all?).

Just sayin....yeah, Saints have Brees, but the Pack also still has Rodgers and the Pats still have Brady. Those teams will likely be really good....but they need their Ds to step up to have a shot.

The Saints....my own personal opinion is that they were good on D that one year and it had ALOT to do with Gregg Williams approach. Blitz, blitz, and more blitz. They created pressure and created turnovers. They got pretty lucky and seldom had to pay for the risks they were taking and Brees was able to get them out of trouble when they did.

Williams is gone now. They don't play that risky scheme anymore. They play more conventional D but I don't think they have the horses to pull it off.

Cleveland vs. Atlanta. I couldn't stand any other NFC team making it to the Superbowl if it ain't Seattle.

Niners. I don't think anyone in the AFC is worth it beyond Houston or Cincinniati but I don't trust either of their quarterbacks and Denver will do a classic choke job ala Peyton despite going 14-2/15-1 or whatever with that creampuff schedule. Then Atlanta I suppose and maybe New Orleans or Washington if RG3 isn't injured again. Ask this question after week 4 when everybody has a far better idea how good or bad the teams will be.

So far the past 4-5 years every superbowl winner has played the eagles in there home opener in philadelphia the same year they won the superbowl. This year the chargers are going to play in the Eagles home opener. So if this trend continues, the Chargers are going to be the superbowl champs.

Of for godsakes, there is a reason I hate statistics and fantasy sports leagues. At least you said it without contempt. That is an actual skill transferable to IRL employment. Bravo sir no sarcasm.

Sarlacc is always stealing my ideas. Agree 100% on the Saints. There's a reason they look in midseason form offensively already...they're pissed.

Yeah, their defense will be a bummer sometimes, but I like Ryan as a DC. I think when they need it, that defense will peak, about week 10 or so.

I would agree with you about the week 4 assessment, but we still may not know about SF and GB by then since they are the only 2 teams that open against 3 playoff teams from last year. Niners then play the Rams and then Houston....so Niners play 11 win teams in 4 of their first 5 games. Yikes. I just hope they can get out with at least a 3-2 record.

Rams. That's easy.

If the Hawks falter, it's the Rams.
