Except that that is his running style. Break him of that and he becomes less of a back. Learn to take the good with the bad. That ability allows him to make huge gains out of nothing.
He hits the breaks because the hole isn’t there and he sees openings elsewhere.
I posted this in your other Walker post.
Without that ability, he might gain a yard by not hitting the breaks and changing direction, but he certainly isn’t going to freeze the defense while he does it to allow for positive big gains.
A yard or two here and there is nothing. He isn’t a 3 yards and a cloud of dust type back. Please don’t ask him to be one. Just enjoy that which makes him special.
