Von Miller to possibly be suspended 6 games

Now we have some idea of the unusual circumstances that may have led to the NFL planning to give Miller more than the normal four-game ban for a first suspension: Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that when Miller went to give a urine sample to the drug tester, it was spilled. When Miller then came back later to give the drug tester another urine sample, that sample was found to be diluted.

I have this picture in my head of the tester waiting there to collect the sample, and Miller "tripping" and spilling it all over the poor guy.

This makes the 2nd Bronco that has been busted for trying to avoid the testing by diluting or swapping samples.

*snicker*

That defense without Miller and an aging Bailey that everyone is no longer scared of thanks to the Ravens in the playoffs last year is going to bring that team back down to Earth this year.

We all heard about a four game suspension coming for Von Miller...he appeals it and gets six games instead. That's just funny.

I bet they start 6-0 without him. They get the Ravens at home in Summer evening conditions against non-playoff Flacco, then go on the road against a flawed NYG team. After that, it's mostly creampuff opponents until a road game in New England during week 12. If Manning stays healthy, I think they are 12-4 worst case.

I was going to say what a couple of you already did. Denver doesn't even have a particularly tough game in their first six. They will go 5-1 or 6-0 and be just fine as a result when Miller comes back. What is the first tough game they play? They get the Skins at home. Maybe at New England in Week Twelve?

Manning is a smart man, he sure picked a great team he could lead against no competition.

Actually because of the appeal and information that came out he was looking at a year suspension so he got lucky.

New England may give them something but honestly they aren't anymore than a 11-5 team quite similar to Atlanta in that regard actually. Dangerous but beatable.

Denver is in a historically weak division and overall the AFC is so down, it's hard to see who prevents them from winning 13+ this year regardless of the state of the defense. Denver is all about how far Peyton and WR's take them. End of story.

Luckily we have the secondary to stand up to them and possibly the offense (if Harvin comes back healthy that's a definite yes). To me it will come down to IF Clemons and Avril are healthy and Irvin is successful at his position switch. Bennett is for real and better be resigned. Only other issue is that run stopping DT to cause double teams allowing our edge rushers free reign like the 49ers.

It seems like everything rides on our pass rushing ability in terms of how dominant we might be able to be. I can't wait for the regular season to arrive.

Yessir.:)

I think Pete and Quinn will find the answer given Schneider sure is doing his job. We trade away a player today that has no chance to see the field (Moffit) for someone that has a good chance (the run stopping DT off Denver's PS). JS is doing his job now it's up to Quinn.

Remember before the Dumerville stupidity and Miller's houka issues (combined with Bailey's injury and exposure) they were basically a quarter step behind us and San Francisco defensively).

Realistically I expect Baltimore to beat Denver again in the playoffs given their defense is right back to elite level and Flacco is far better than Dilfer. Suggs is healthy and you get Dumerville? Don't shed a tear for the Ravens. Ozzie is crazy like a fox. Let's hope John is at his level.

I don't see it IRo given their schedule but it doesn't matter given the 12-4 win the division in week 9 Indianapolis team moved to Denver who cares? They even made their defense "soft" without any reason it's karma if you ask me.

Personally I am hoping Kansas City upsets the applecart. Most my friends are Chief fans and IMHO are just as classy and nearly as long suffering as us.

Let's see, Champ Bailey's following receivers with a cane in one hand, Elvis has left the building, and Miller will be watching from his couch for the first 6 games.

Ranked 17th or worse between weeks 6 and 7, maker my words. I also reserve the right to weasel out of this and say that they barely missed out on the bottom half when the time comes because Peyton keeps the offense on the field for so long.

Freaking women. You don't have that right over ALL men, damnit!
Of course we do.....meow":) *wink*

You're view is sensible but honestly I disagree because I am from the Bay Area and grew up watching Montana live and know what a difference an elite quarterback makes. Why do you think I have supported Wilson since last year in Kansas City? (First time I saw him and he is franchise a game changer).

Seriously, watch him vs. TJack. Extrapolate now. I love that TJack is back he will win half our games if he takes over. Perfect backup. Total competitor, can run the full offense, seems to have learned he can get rid of the ball without taking a sack. And can throw a perfect deep pass off play action. It's awesome.
