I thought Carolina's inability to do a damn thing with the football after the two minute warning was a marked improvement over the way we closed out games under Bradley.

Funny... I read the title and was wondering what impact Brady Quinn could have possibly had on anything.

I was really impressed with the D today. Especially considering some of the guys they're missing.

Wasn't it great to finish the game with the ball, and a victory formation rather than seeing their offense scoring?! Good call, BFS.

I think we never went prevent helped, we were aggressive and became more aggressive towards the end of the game.

We never went Prevent with Bradley, either. We played a lot of cover-2 or cover-3 with very loose, sagging zones, however.

I wonder if it will turn out that Seattle played more man in the fourth than they did last year, or if they just played tighter zone and trusted the safeties to clean up any messes.

I am, for the most part, a Bradley guy. I know many people that have coached with/played with/played for him and they all speak highly of the guy as a man and as a coach.

I'm trying to be clever with my OP.

But I will say that PC/JS& Quinn brought a ton of new people on board this year with the express purpose of generating a passrush beyond Clem/Irvin.

With Clem/Irvin/Hill/Avril sidelined today it was exciting to see how frequently we employed a variety of blitzes without becoming too blitz-crazy.

The 3rd and out play that was sacrificed to a bullshit face mask penalty on Bennett stands out.

It will be exciting to see playoff games in Seattle with our full complement of pass rushers.

Rodgers/Ryan or whomever won't have a prayer.

As for the kneel downs? Clutch work by our offense on that final drive.

That is what a solid team does. Put the game away when you have the chance.

It's amazing what NOT switching to soft zone in the final two minutes will do for you. It was a blessing to see us not do it today. Our defense us going to be even better this year, and it was already the best in the league last year. Once we get Avril, Clemons, Browner, and Irvin all working together at full health and full speed...Oh, man. Watch out, NFL. Watch out.

Soft zone, deep zone, prevent defense, all are deep drops and keep plays in front of you concepts, bottom line is they allow chunks of yards unabated and prevent you from winning many times.

I like Quinn, but the talent level on the DL between Carolina and us is sickening. If we had what they have, we'd rival the '85 Bears.

Bradley? Great man, talented, timid.

Kinda wondering how the facemask was bullshit ?

I know it's off topic, but if you hit a QB in the head, it's a foul....faskmask or no. Just keep your hands off his helmet..period.

Ask Thomas about that bullshit call last year in Miami. It cost us the game, was ticky tack as hell, but it was in the rules and they had a right to call it.

Hmmm. I will rethink it, but the face mask was never grabbed, IMO, and that was the call.

So true.

We have the best man CBs in the league and Earl MF Thomas. Win the game there.

Yep. This and the. "Chicago Bear" mentality he brings.....having 8 DB's that could start and Earl Thomas does help. Question, who was the stud that played in Browner's spot?

Our defense did exactly what I was hoping for given our injury situation. However, before we go comparing 85 bears, lets not forget, there were a couple bad drops by Carolina that could have easily changed the game.

However, Game Ball goes to ET without a doubt.
