Miami should be in over Clemson.

If Miami wanted to be in, they should have won their conference, but they didn't. Clemson did. Miami didn't even make it to the conference championship game. I'm not seeing the case for Miami here, unless you don't want conference championships to matter.

Texas fans have got to be pretty stoked. I mean, all of these teams are good, and I'm not saying there's an "easy" path to the semifinals, but it sure looks like Texas has the easiest path.
Az state fans may not like that assessment, but yanno. We dont care. I am interested in the path for BSU. Very interesting where they are placed in the 3 slot.

They should've been in the ACC championship game over Clemson.

Why? Clemson was 7-1 in the ACC, Miami was 6-2.
I think overall record should mean more than conference record. If it came down to it, an 8-4 (8-0) team shouldn't be in the championship game over a team that's 11-1 (7-1) or 10-2 (6-2).

That said, I wish the NCAA wouldn't let P4 teams pay small schools to play them so they can beat up on them for easy wins. Make SoS a bigger factor in determining tiebreakers, and who gets to play in the conference championships.

Fair point, but it's awfully unlikely that you'll ever see a team go 8-0 in conference, and 0-4 out of conference unless they have an extremely difficult out of conference schedule and/or play in a very, very weak conference. Also, in that scenario, it's pretty likely that team lost their 1st 4 games, but is now on an 8 game winning streak and is undefeated in conference play. I dunno man. I feel like conference record and conference championships should still matter.

I don't see what either Clemson or Miami did that was all that impressive. I'd have South Carolina in over both. Probably BYU also.

The ACC doesn't even look like they should have an autobid currently. They're clearly the worst of the P4 conferences.

All the more reason for P4 teams to exclusively play other P4 teams, that way each W/L has equal weight.

Then don’t lose to bad teams. And yes, the ACC and Big 12 are a step below the SEC and BIG 10. So losing to any teams in those conferences, should keep a team out, if they miss the conference title game .

GT wasn't as bad as their record made them out to be. And Syracuse had the #1 passer in the league. They weren't bad teams. Clemson also lost to Louisville, who Miami beat.
