Can he handle the noise?

I suspect he’ll do ok but I don’t believe he’s aware of what he’s about to hear.

He has a measure of poise but I also suspect the first actual NFL start nerves will get to him a bit.

My guess is he may not make any big mistakes only because Payton is going to he ultra conservative with him his first week out. Would love to see a Witherspoon pick though on a Murphy pressure.

I’m really stoked to watch Murphy.

I’ve really been reserved with my opinions up to this point but I watched him closely as a Longhorn and the kid has HUGE potential.

He primarily played against 3rd string and P squad guys in pre-season. This should be eye opening for him.
His college career was predominantly full of dump offs close to LOS. That may actually help him.

He will probably be “ok”. One TD and one pick - Prob 40-50 yards rushing.

He might have a great career but today the noise and defense will be overwhelming.

I call it the "reality dickwich"

A few early hits and pressures makes the noise louder (and seem louder) all game. An early TD drive and some success makes it much more comfortable for the visitor. I'd guess (hope) MMac will have some creative blitzes early to confuse the rookie and try to get the D some momentum. They chose to receive in pre-season when they won the toss...maybe choose to defer...???
