We probably would have smoked Oakland with Okung and Unger in there. Add to that, having Zach Miller out and RW was playing behind scrubs.

But huge plays got called back, and good drives got stalled because of horrendous tackle, guard, and center play.

Poor Okung, called for two penalties when he's not even on the field.

I think getting Unger back would be huge for blocking calls and keeping Russell clean. Okung would be a bonus too. As much as I tire of his injuries and penalties, he's the best we got. If he can get healthy, then maybe we get Pro Bowl play from him again.

Miller, Unger, Okung, all key blockers, probably the most key on this line. Actually no thats a fact.

Injuries, as long as we can get through this stretch things will get better, keep on winning baby!

EDIT: LOL @ okung called for penalties.

RW sucked today and it was his own fault. The OL hurt Marshawn's game not Wilson's. Of course if the other Willson could hold on to the ball....

I wonder if these guys, Okung and Unger, might have been active today against a tougher opponent? Unger seemed to be on the mend and Okung has been playing with the same injury all year.

Maybe they were granted a bye week...

I'm sorry, are you saying that a bad offensive line does not effect the QBs game? Because that line is porous and needs to stop with the penalties.

Unger was in his pads on the sideline. Thought that was unusual.

Took half the game before I saw a block on Oakland's MLB.

That's becuase he makes so many penalties when he's on the field. Looks like the refs have developed a habit of calling his number.

I'll give the refs a pass for those; when Bailey's jersey was stuck between the bottom of his shoulder pads and his considerable fat roll his number did look like 76.

Yes, because unblocked defenders coming a hundred miles an hour towards the QB doesn't affect him at all.

Well other than maybe forcing the play to break down, releasing the ball earlier, disrupt timing and rhythm. But other than that, yeah no effect at all.

Completely agree that the offensive line looked like garbage today. What do you expect with 3 O-linemen off the scrap heap? The offense isn't going to get any better until we get our starters back, and that includes our 6th offensive lineman, Zach Miller.

And by the way, why in the world would we not resign Marshawn next season? He and Russ are basically our entire offense right now. You take him away and you can kiss any thoughts of dynasty goodbye.

I actually thought that pass blocking today was better than it's been in weeks and that Bailey outplayed the level of play that Okung has given us this year, albeit injured play. We still struggled in the interior at the center position though. Outside of that I think the Raiders just overloaded one side or the other a lot and that let someone come free. It's something that teams have been doing to us since late last year and, if you're being honest, RW has had quite a bit of issues with beating it. There were two other issues with compounding the problems on offense today. One, RW was just kind of off today. About 3 quarters of all the balls he threw today were very difficult. He had the accuracy of a scattergun today. Should some or many have them been caught? Yes, particularly a few to Willson, which is another story. The final, and really the root of the issues today, because it has to do with design, is Bevell's play designs and diversity of what he calls belongs as the college or high school level and his situational play calling today was absolutely heinous. Particularly at the end of the game.

Oh c'mon, you're just using "announcer clichés". Ask Montana Hawk, he'll tell you.

Our Oline is now starting the backups of some of our backups. Russell has been forced to put his hands under more men's asses than Liberace. We can't keep his line intact for consecutive practices much less games. No wonder his timing is off. We have some key players that need to get healthy, stay healthy, or be gone! Thank goodness he can count on lynch at least until the office gets rid of him too.
