Is it worth 5,20, both 2nds to go from 5 to 1 to get Levis, Stroud, or Richardson? It looks like that’s what it will take to get one of them

and if #1 busts like trey lance / jamarcus russell then you traded away #5, #20, #37 and #52 to move up 4 whole spots... for nothing and wasted whatever years it took you to realize the QB is a bust. our window should start 2024. hitting those 4 picks cements that. this team still needs to be built up, especially in the trenches.

so no. good question. but no. we won with geno smith last year. i think we'll be ok with other options if necessary.

Richardson, as expected, has been tearing it up. But let's not go nuts. I was really impressed with Stroud. That guy throws a pretty ball.

Like I said before, we are guaranteed one of these guys if we love them all: Young, Stroud, Richardson, Levis, Anderson, Carter. I'd be happy with any of them at 5. I'm not a fan of trading up or back.

Stroud over Richardson all day. Richardson just screams bust to me. I trust John though.

One stat that popped up today involved teams that traded up to take a QB I think in the top 5. EVERY one of them was a bust...or at the very least, not worth the trade. (I suppose the jury is still out on Trey Lance but I think he's a bust.) LOL @ the Bears picking Trubisky over Mahomes. The time frame I believe was since 2011.

In the pff’s mock simulation just for fun I could trade up to #1 using only 5, 20, and Jordyn Brooks. Then I could our remaining picks for higher ones, 83 to 64, 122 to 103, and so on.

I know Brooks is injured, but Bears are exactly the type of team that could wait for him to get healthy, exercise his option and give him an extension if he returns to form.

Although in this simulation i didn’t use the #1 overall but traded down 7 times, Hou, Indy, LV, Car, Hou again, Det, and NO.

Not saying it could work in real life but it mock life it was successful.

Well, I mean the main point was having the 5th and 20th overall pick is a starting conversation most teams that aren’t Hou, Phi, and Det cannot compete with unless they are throwing future picks into the conversation.
