Seahawks eligible comp picks (so far)

One important factor in determining comp picks and round is how many snaps the FA plays with the new team and any post-season honors. It can make an estimated 5th rounder a 3rd, or drop him to a non-CFA player with no comp. Let's hope all of our lost FA's play 100% of snaps en route to All-Pro.

Noah Fant Signs (2 years, $21M)

12th highest paid TE. I think he will finally be used correctly and he'll outperform his contract. He is so much better than what we've seen so far, and he'll probably be getting an adequate number of snaps and targets. Another good move by JS.

Hawks agree to terms with Williams (3y, $21.5m per)

5-2 before we signed him. 4-6 after we signed him. Run defense was 32nd over those 10 games. He played well, but not at a top-10 level. I never saw him dominate a game. I've seen every other top-10 IDL dominate games. I see the potential. The defensive schemes last year sucked. I'm hoping...

What should Leonard Willams draw in free agency?

I fear you are right. Do you think Williams is on the same level as Payne, Lawrence, Hargrave, and Buckner? IMO he is well below that level of player.

What should Leonard Willams draw in free agency?

    Player Total Value Avg./Year Aaron Donald $95,000,000 $31,666,667 Justin Madubuike $98,000,000 $24,500,000 Quinnen Williams $96,000,000 $24,000,000 Jeffery Simmons $94,000,000 $23,500,000 Daron Payne $90,000,000 $22,500,000 Dexter Lawrence $90,000,000 $22,500,000 Javon Hargrave...

What should Leonard Willams draw in free agency?

We paid Jones $17M/yr and his production declined precipitously. We'll pay Williams $21M/yr and end up with same result. JS has sucked at building trenches. I have plenty of hope, but little faith, that he turns it around.

    Lockett restructures

There's about 15 sources now. All vary slightly in details but the majority consensus is: OLD CONTRACT 2024 salary $17M 2024 dead $10M 2025 salary $17M 2025 dead $10M NEW CONTRACT 2024 salary $13M guaranteed 2024 incentives $4M 2024 dead $10M 2025 salary $17M (guaranteed per those who adress...

    Lockett restructures

Several sources have said the new contract is 30 guaranteed with 34 available (4 nltbe incentives). As his contract was 17 in 2024 and 17 in 2025 that's a conversion of 4 into incentives. When I first posted I hadn't heard about the incentives. We'll just have to wait and see for sure when...

    Lockett restructures

It sounds like he took a $4M pay cut in 2024 to get his 2024 and 2025 salaries guaranteed. I don't like it. He is an aging vet who is being drastically overpaid. And now it's all guaranteed. Bad move. JS has been doing so well that this snafu is kind of surprising.

    Jamal, Quandre & Dissly Released!!!

Agree. His 2024 salary is $15.3M and the rest is dead money pushed forward from prior years. The question is do you think his projected production can be replaced by a draft pick (lots of outstanding WRs this year) or a free agent at half the price? There's only 2 WRs on the field in 12 or 21...

    Jamal, Quandre & Dissly Released!!!

Lockett is currently developing his post-football business/career. He has a huge incentive to stay in Seattle. Seahawks have leverage. Use it.

    Jamal, Quandre & Dissly Released!!!

Agreed with all but Queen, unless it's under $10M (he's gonna get overpaid somewhere). Also Bellore can take vet min or go elsewhere. Cut Eskridge. Tyler needs to share WR3 with Bobo and Young for $6-8M - add incentives in case he plays extra snaps due to DK/JSN missing time. p.s. My faith in...

Russell Wilson released, according to sources.

But john63 was actually so popular here that many followed his deandc account at the Broncos forum just for the entertainment value. I gotta admit, he did provide plenty of entertainment on both boards. One Of A Kind. I always wondered if he was well paid by Team3, or if he was just a...

If you are lucky enough to get invited to the combine...

As of 2022, players were not getting paid. I read an article 2 years ago about agents having to advance players travel money to attend. Players who attend then don't get drafted are screwed. I am unable to find if that has since changed. The combine is not equivalent to a typical job interview...

Yep. They should have overseers out there on horses with whips to encourage these lazy bums to work harder.

    Geno Restructure?

The ability to convert salary to signing bonus is boilerplate in all, or nearly all, NFL contracts. The time value of money makes it automatically beneficial to the player. What makes you think Restructuring (which is NFL parlance for this action - any other action is a Renegotiation) is looked...

    Pete Carroll 49ers DC?

I'm all for it, as long as we get 2 1sts and 2 2nds in the trade.

    Geno, or no Geno?

Releasing is no longer an option - it would be throwing away 12.7M for nothing. If traded 3/14-3/16, the 12.7 guaranteed would be paid for by the other team. If still on the roster 3/17, his 9.6M roster bonus would be paid by the Seahawks which means he is here for the season.
