Who cares? It's nothing more than high school drama being upset about disrespect. Want respect? Earn it. Seattle hasen't earned it for darn near a decade now.
I understand what your saying, but there's people here throwing out all these stats and numbers in some kind of an attempt to sell him and if those numbers told the real story, don't you think he'd be retained and worth more than a 3rd round pick? All i'm saying is not to be fooled with what we...
Just doesn't seem to make any sense. Washington gave Mariota 2 more million than Howell would have cost and they valued a 3rd round pick more than his services. Something doesn't seem right. Why was Washington looking to draft a QB if Howell is so good anyways?
I get the new regime stuff...
So basically they didn't even think enough about him to keep as a backup yet some people here thinks he could be Seattles savior. Seems pretty black and white to me.
Yes, they got rid of what a lot of Seattles fanbase considers the QBotF for a hill of beans and to make room for an unproven rookie. They know what they had.
I still have to ask,,,,,if Howells so good why did Washington let him go and why isn't he starting ahead of Geno Smith? Payton wouldn't give a 3rd for him? Wonder why?
This admiration for Howell has to stop. He's a cheap backup and nothing more.
Don't know which QB, but the point is they didn't even try. A QBotF wasn't even on the radar and that's why they are in the predicament they are in now. Hoping and praying for miracles that QB's like Smith, Lock, and Howell are the answers when they clearly aren't and giving enough lip service...
Grasping at straws? Speaking of the Packers, seemed to work out pretty well for them didn't it?
Come on man. Even you can admit that some kind of QBotF plan needed addressed. Wilson wasn't going to play forever and somebody should have been sitting behind him learning the ropes (not some 30...
The issue with the time Russ was here was there was nobody waiting in the wings to learn and take over. There was no plan for the future put in place. With not addressing that need, the Hawks find themselves in their current situation which is a perennial backup QB with zero post season...
I trust JS's eye for QB talent, but I believe his raving of Howell is nothing more than a coverup for not grabbing a QBotF years ago when it was obvious they should have. He knows he screwed up.
Honestly, if Howell was that good, he'd be starting over Smith and Washington wouldn't have given...
Lol. Those QB's were all 1st round picks. They all had much more talent and potential than Howell.
Sure, give Howell his shot and let the team waste another 2 to 3 years before realizing they should have drafted a QB years ago.
Warner was an anomaly, Unitas played in a time when passing wasn't prevalent like today (pass), and Kreig was never anything more than an average QB. So you got me with Warner (does anybody truly think Howell has a chance at that career). Lets revisit this thread in 5 years and talk about this.
