This Week's Enemy Fan Forums: The Houston Texans

I agree. This is one of the four really dangerous games on our schedule. The other three are @SF, @NY, and @Atlanta. Given some recent results, I might be convinced that @NY should be replaced with @Indy on that list, but CHFF has some good evidence that the Giants are performing much worse than...

This Week's Enemy Fan Forums: The Jacksonville Jaguars

You're very right, Nine. 16-0 is ridiculously hard to do and nothing I'd every predict. And I'd take a Super Bowl win over being the '07 Pats any day of the week. However, after the 38-0 showing today, the Giants game is looking better and better!

This Week's Enemy Fan Forums: The Jacksonville Jaguars

Crazy? Yes. But geez. It breaks down like this: 8 home games. We just tore up the best team we're gonna see in the CLink by 26 points. 8-0 @Carolina - Check @Arizona @St. Louis @Indy Okay, there's 12 wins so far @Houston @SF @Atlanta @Giants Which game aren't we favored in? I'm not going...

This Week's Enemy Fan Forums: The Jacksonville Jaguars

Far better in '08 and '09 then in '92 or '76. Although I have to admit that winning two with the new and shiny toy was really cool back then. And the new kid we traded for, Largent, he worked out okay. So '76 is a bad example. All of the Bubba years, though - way worse than the minor down cycle...

This Week's Enemy Fan Forums: The Jacksonville Jaguars

'92 was particularly depressing. Most of the 90s should be surgically removed from my memories. Can we all just agree that nothing happened from the moment Largent retired until Moon joined the team? Okay, I'll keep Tez. Everything else, though...

God have mercy on the Jaguars

No surprise there. This is arguably the largest gulf between teams that is possible in the NFL today. Only Denver has a legitimate claim to being in our league and even if Jacksonville traveled to Colorado, they'd likely pick up a few points while Manning would call off the dogs after 4 or 5...

Yep. I'll just remind myself that it was a bad puppy and the only way to train it not to piddle there is to hang 50 on it. You can never train those puppies too much, you know.

This Week's Enemy Fan Forums: The Jacksonville Jaguars

I just checked out their board. The first eight threads are all about how terrible the team is: 1) The long list of players who they'll get rid of 2) How bad the game against Oakland was 3) Whether they'll draft first or second 4) How they need to bench Gabbert until they get "our future" 5)...

    Marshall Faulk just admitted!!

It's too bad that you can't recognize great defense when you see it. Don't worry, though. We'll be happy to demonstrate it again for you in the 'Stick. Since you didn't recognize it while it was happening or even after the fact, that's two games into the season and both opposing quarterbacks...

Panther fan back! Great Win for you guys

That's just not even fair. I read somewhere (CHFF, I think) that close games are generally toss-ups in the NFL. There's some evidence that some QBs do have the ability to pull out close wins, but by and large teams are .500 in close games. It's one of the reasons that Indy is predicted to return...

God have mercy on the Jaguars

Man, I didn't put those two together until you just mentioned it. But that's just not fair to those guys. I'm not sure that 17 points is enough.

    42-13 or 29-3?

This team is on a whole new level. I've watched it all. I watched the expansion years where we were thrilled to get 9-7. A winning record! I've seen the first excellent teams, winning in Miami, winning 12 games (and losing to the freaking Broncos at home(!) to lose the division...), suffering...

On a day when the Hawks did nothing Really well.....

I suggest that you should have named the thread something along the lines of "Seahawks win despite a poor showing from our main strength, the ground game" or "Seahawks win on the road despite not bringing their A game". As it stands, the title is simply inaccurate.

Stop Making Excuses for the O-Line it was BAD

I disagree. The Hawks just played Carolina exactly the same way they played them last year. A low scoring, defensive struggle. There was even a small late game comeback for the Hawks and a mirror image defensive stop deep in our territory. I don't recall any sky is falling predictions after...

On a day when the Hawks did nothing Really well.....

I chastised Niner fans for this one, so I'll say the same thing here: It's not the Seahawks job to make sure that you're impressed by a great defensive game. The defense was excellent. They held the opposition to 7 points. They forced turnovers. They held Cam Newton to his lowest offensive...
