    Byron Murphy

Comparing Charbs or K9 to King Henry is laughable. So trying to compare Murphy to AD is also laughable.

    Byron Murphy

Murphy isn't the problem with the team or the DL. Next week will make it quite apparent IMVHO. It is going to take some time for the offense to gel and help with TOP. Defense needs help which is called complimentary football. Granted the defense needs to make more splash plays but the...

    King Henry

Henry is like Gayle Sayers and Walter with his blend of power, speed and strength all in one with a little bit of Dickerson's long stride. Crazy good.

    DK is missed

But that offense was built on running the ball. The NFL has evolved a lot since then which is why WRs are paid top dollar. Even in the old NFL of 1980s to like 2000s you still need a capable compliment to your 1 with a 2. NFL offenses since mid 2015 really have 1a and 1b at WR. Eagles and...

    DK is missed

I think JSN is already better than Metcalf. The problem is JSN had Metcall and Lockett and now it is just JSN..lol. I want to see more from Horton and Arroyo.

    DK is missed

Metcalf or MVS are bigger guys that go downfield and get the ball to beat 9 man boxes so missing either one is very, very obvious. I would throw in Lockett too as he was always sneaky good downfield even at the twilight of his career. Seahawks offense needs to find a way to involve Horton and...

We were very fortunate the score was that close

True and that is why Horton needs to be a bigger part of the game plan along with Arroyo. Both can attack the seem or boundary with go routes. Kupp still has value with intermediate and underneath routes and then you have JSN who is alpha.

We were very fortunate the score was that close

But why? You have Charbs and K9. Not a mystery.

    Raiders

The Raiders looked more organized which is a good sign of competitiveness. While their defense has flaws I think there is upside to their offense as the young guys keep growing and learning.

We were very fortunate the score was that close

The offense has a lot of growing and adjustments to do because there was a soft reset of it this off season. It was never going to be easy. The loss of Lockett is bigger than Metcalf because it allowed JSN to do his work underneath. Fant I wouldn't say is a big loss because if given a chance...

49ers beat writer (David Lombardi) on Seahawks/Niners matchup

That is a lazy take by many people. Even if you never watched them play last season just looking at the depth chart would clearly show what is up: Reed - Proven run stopping veteran with the ability to rush the passer with double digits. Williams - Dominant in his time in NY Lawrence - Proven...

Raiders WR Jakobi Meyers reportedly requests a trade

Moore fits their style of offense. Meyers has a different skill set although the 49ers are starved of WR talent at the moment.

Did KC give all their money to Mahomes...

The Chiefs relied on their defense a lot last season so I see that trend to continue. But for the Chiefs to make a deep playoff run they need their offense to rev up again. JuJu is back and he will be a solid slot guy even late in his career and it seems he is fully healed. Worthy and Brown...

    Initial Roster is Set

A quick glance of the roster tells us the following picture which we kind of gleaned already throughout the off season: On offense JS did a soft reset of the skill positions while fortifying the OL with Zabel addition. Holani sticking around isn't surprising because he is lowkey versatile. A...

So the OL is now officially set (According to MacDonald)

Yeah this looks like a legit OL. Plus you have several young guys in the wings that can develop if given a chance down the road.

Roster now set: Now focus ..Niners

Seahawks defense should be able to bottle up the 49ers offense. But the 49ers made a concerted effort in the off season to become bigger in the trenches along the DL to avoid being gashed by their divisional foes (eg Rams, Seahawks, Cardinals). Plus, the return of Saleh means the 49ers are...

    W/L prediction thread

If the defense plays as well as I think they could and the running game revs up? 10-7.

    Pickens to Dallas

    A. Smith is going to be playing a lot of 12 personnel. So from that point of view it didn't make sense to extend Pickens long term but it would have been interesting see a duo of Metcalf and Pickens on the boundary. The Steelers are always looking forward but I do have concerns that they are...

    Pick 50: Elijah Arroyo

I am not worried about a TE being slow with their release at the line because he is not a WR that is going to see jams. What matters is if he can attack the seem downfield with his 6'5 250 lb frame. And yes he can and I have see enough of him here in Florida to tell you this guy is legit.

    OL 2025

With the zone blocking scheme change I would say that Zabel should be the LG, Olu at center and then Bradford and Haynes at RG is a toss up. Bradford isn't a lock to start at RG because of the shift to zone blocking so Haynes may have a shot. In theory if Zabel is your A+ anchor on the inside...
