    Geno Tracking Thread

Geno looked pretty good. Raiders just need more talent on defense but everyone knew that coming into the season.

    Dolphins

Not sure how the Dolphins as a franchise can move forward. But their roster is a talented roster and they just need more better direction to make some tough decisions which is why Grier is out.

    NFC West...

Shanahan has looked competent with many QB's so I wouldn't call Purdy luck but Purdy does make things easier for them to figure out in terms of roster construction.

Minny’s hc destroyed Wentz for the season

The Vikings are not out of it as they are going to be a hard out when they get their house in order.

How did Seattle get so lucky to get Darnold?

QB's need a great supporting cast and football is a team game. Darnold is playing complimentary football and that is all you can ask for.

    New coaching hires, ranked

Pierce shouldn't have been fired. Mayo is a toss up because he wasn't given the keys to succeed with roster construction (eg WR and OL talent). Morris is 50/50 with Callahan a firm no. He was a bad hire given they were trying to replace Vrabel. Canales like Morris is 50/50.

49ers get bullied by the Buccaneers

The 49ers are going to be in it throughout the year with the way their defense can play. But that offense has to find a way to have their players come back to form better cohesion on offense to compete down the stretch.

Emmanwori #1 rated safety per PFF

That 2021 draft was about raw talent and to coach them up but did the team have the luxury of doing that with an aging roster? Emmanwori isn't a finished prospect which is why he did not go in the first round. But his talent is so, so good that he could have been a borderline first rounder...

    Titans Fire Callahan

That was predictable. The Titans need a strongman as a HC to coalesce that mess around but they let Vrabel walk out that door....

Emmanwori #1 rated safety per PFF

Biggest lesson is that if you see value on the board you pull the trigger and you do not trade down. Emmanwori is a textbook example of not overthinking it as many viewed him as a first rounder.

Emmanwori #1 rated safety per PFF

Emmanwori is going to be a deadly joker that Mac can move around. This defense is going to be unlocked once they hit their stride mid season.

    Byron friggan Murphy

Mac's defenses may be known for exotic looks on the backend with multiples of DB's but he knows you need horses in the trenches. This is where there is major payoff for the backend to cause confusion and do their work.

    Please....

The Patriots are not that bad as people think with overall talent. They have had talented players on defenses for several season, but their scouting and coaching up philosophy on offense was bad. And they lacked talent on offense skill positions. Their scouting and development of WR and OL...

49ers get bullied by the Buccaneers

49ers put up a valiant effort being banged up but the Bucs are banged up too and are just more hungry for W's.

    That's the difference

Bowles prefers to run the clock as he is defensive minded like Mac. But the difference is Arians rubbed off of him a bit and learns to seal the deal with risk it biscuit. If Bowles is to be perceived as a better HC around the NFL he needs to take more risks.

    Jets had -10 yards passing

Sadly I could probably be the GM and guide the Jets to more wins per season.

    Kupp

That is fine with Horton and Young developing.

    Tyreek Hill injury

I thought being flat footed was something you are born with and have zero arch. If the nerve damage impacts his ability to flex his foot then it might slow down his get off a bit.

Stick a fork in Russ. He's done :) - Traded?

Dart has looked good so far. More crisp, faster release and on point in the mid field.

    Mike's pissed. Rightfully so.

Tampa played a lot of zone too to protect their DBs but Darnold was able to carve the Bucs secondary. Not surprising that Mayfield could do the same. Truthfully when it comes down to it each game is different with a flow and that game was a shootout which is where turnovers are the often the...
