How did Seattle get so lucky to get Darnold?

They were in a difficult spot. The vikings took their shot with McCarthy, and for the FO he was their QB of the future (hopefully). Losing him so early meant that they couldn't get a glimpse of him playing in the NFL. To re-sign Darnold would mean changing course on McCarthy as well as making a...

    Anthony Bradford (Ugh!)

    Correct. They'd rather ruin him.

    Anthony Bradford (Ugh!)

He embodies the seahawk spirit and brings the level of quality you expect from a seahawks lineman.

Have trick plays become Kubiak's "great white whale"?

This falls under the complaint of "don't take the ball out of your QB's hands." The QB knows better than anyone what to do with the ball and when. Their job is to be the point guard of the team. No one else on offense is trained to make a decision on when to throw to a receiver and when to throw...

    Mariners offseason thread 2025-26

The mariners will never reach the world series scoring 3 runs per game. They honestly didn't even deserve to be in the playoffs. I don't want to hear anything about pitching or defense. We have to upgrade 4 or 5 positions so we can score runs. I don't care if we have to fill our roster with the...

    WHY???

I really hate their trick play BS. The universe is trying to tell them to do the NORMAL thing and let the starting QB throw all the passes. This is only slightly better than bringing in Milroe. They need to knock it off.

I sent this to my boomer mom. Her reply: "is this real?"

    Geno Tracking Thread

The arc on his throws has been dropping for consecutive seasons, which indicates a real loss in arm strength. Instead of being able to quickly zip a pass over the defense and into his receivers' hands, he's having to throw more directly in order to try to get the ball to the receiver in time...

    Geno Tracking Thread

It's crazy to think that both Pete and Russell squandered HOF opportunities...together and apart.

    Pete is delusional

I saw a pic recently of Pete talking to a player on the field, and his shoes combined with the way he stood made him look like an old retired person.

    GAME TICKETS: MNF vs Texans

If the Hawks keep losing at home it will create an environment where a lot of Hawks fans would rather watch from their couch at home.

    Trade Deadline Approaching

A writer for sports illustrated suggested the Hawks trade for Joel Bitonio. Even suggested the Hawks include Riq Woolen in the deal. If the Hawks can swing a deal for Bitinio that includes Woolen I'd support it as long as we don't give up much draft capital. I rarely support buying at the...

ALCS Mariners (90-72) vs Blue Jays (94-68) Oct 12-20, 2025

"Close, but no cigar" only takes you so far. Even if this is further than we thought we'd get, the same ol' story rings true: too little, too late. The Mariners are *still* the only team to never reach the world series. Anything short of the world series is still a disappointment.

Cal now odds-on favorite to win AL MVP.

I don't think Cal has much of a chance, but he deserves it. I have felt for the last 20+ years that the single biggest advantage a team can have at one position is a catcher with above-average D for a catcher and above-average offense league-wide. Suddenly a spot in the batting order that's...

    MacDonald on Milroe's use

Did McDonald say this after the game, or is this a quote from the past? Honestly anything other than "Jalen will be inactive for the rest of the season" is a mistake. I would fully support firing McDonald and Kubiak at the end of the season if Milroe sees the field again. My line of...

How bad was that Milroe option play

I don't think they'll keep 3 next year. I think that's part of the reason they keep trying to use Milroe. He's already taking up a roster spot that they would normally use on another position, and they are trying to justify it by running a play or two with him. The coaching staff has to know...

    Rudi Johnson RIP

Honestly baseball is a better choice for multiple reasons. My sport of choice was basketball, and I put thousands of hours into it, but height plays such a huge part that I never had a future in it. As a lefty I should've played baseball. Height doesn't matter much and being left-handed is an asset.
