Did trading for Howell close the door on a 1st round QB?

Hawks will draft Penix at #25 to run the new offense. They'll most likely trade down and pick up a 2nd round pick. #15 and #118 to Green Bay for #25 and #58. Almost an equal draft value. GB has 2 second round picks and we have none. We have 2 third round picks but give up one.

    Geno vs. Sam QB mobility.

They will both be starting from scratch learning a whole new offense.

    Geno vs. Sam QB mobility.

2022 was the best year Geno will ever have.

HC Mike MacDonald on QB Competition

I plan to. I'm concerned that without his security blanket of DeBoer and a head coach who is a defensive guru, he will not have anyone to lean on. He's all out there on an island by himself.

HC Mike MacDonald on QB Competition

Grubb's offense is Deboer's offense. Grubb has been with Deboer from the start. He was wide receivers coach, run game coordinator, OL coach, QB coach... All under Deboer. Either Deboer was the OC or head coach. It was his offenses not Grubb's. Grubb is going from an OC of a college team to OC...

HC Mike MacDonald on QB Competition

Will a college OC that didn't even develop his own offensive scheme, improve our offense? Will our team improve as a whole with a newb head coach? Will Geno grasp a totally new offense without a three-year head start? Don't be fooled...... PC had his hands all over the offense regardless the...

HC Mike MacDonald on QB Competition

Geno is the starter until he's not. When the coaches realize he hasn't grasped the offense by end of preseason, they'll change to Penix because he's familiar with it. Yes.... I'm saying they will draft Penix.

HC Mike MacDonald on QB Competition

Grubb's offense was DeBoer's offense. Grubb was brilliant at executing it but did not devise it. Grubb followed DeBoer around everywhere he coached. It will be a big jump from Washington OC to Seahawks OC. I wouldn't be surprised to see Penix get drafted by the Seahawks.

HC Mike MacDonald on QB Competition

Yeah, I remember when Spurrier, Saban, and Meyer tried that.

HC Mike MacDonald on QB Competition

Geno sucked for nine years and wasn't well thought of in NY or LA. He had a full year to learn Waldron's offense as a backup but when Wilson left, Waldron had to dumb down the offense for Geno because it was too much. Waldron called in the play and gave Geno one extra play to audible if need...

HC Mike MacDonald on QB Competition

Geno is a bonehead. He won't learn the Grubb's college level offensive scheme by week 1. Expect Howell or Penix to start at QB for week 1.

Sam Howell is our Brock Purdy, until he isn't.

Lock only had 21 starts before he was designated a failure. (23 starts after last season) Both Howell and Lock have similar numbers as of now. It's safe to say they both suck. But I'm willing to give Howell 5 more starts before I officially declare him a bust.

    Lock contadicts js on expectations

Paul Schwartz of the New York Post reported Friday morning that the Giants didn't convince quarterback Drew Lock to join the team by telling him he'd have a chance to win the starting job over Daniel Jones. Schwartz called it a "heckuva story," one that came after Seattle Seahawks general...

Was there such a thing as JS guys and PC guys?

Schneider's job will be dependent on the Seahawks record this season. If they totally bomb.... He's gone.

    Lock contadicts js on expectations

It was a D move. Totally unnecessary to even comment on.

    Lock contadicts js on expectations

Why would JS try to sabotage Lock like that? What a jerk.

George Fant & Rayshawn Jenkins sign

Are there any more players named Fant in NFL that Seahawks can sign?

Most of those starts were in a COVID year with quite a few players opting not to play that year.

    Quarterback options for 2024

Geno's 2022 performance was an anomaly. His numbers went down in 2023 and will go down further in 2024. He'll only be getting older and slower from this point on.
