    This just opens the door for the two guys who needed the extra reps/snaps...DJ Dallas and Kenny McIntosh. It's also interesting that DJ and K-Mac are likely "fighting" for the RB3 role for Pass Pro in our 3rd down packages.

    Pete is showing "due concern" for the health of his players...medical evaluations will be needed to identify type and severity. As for missing camp...RB are the most "plug and play" ready type player to have game impact...he can learn "keys" with film study/coaching.

    Many in the fan base are hesitant...a "repeat" performance is always more persuasive so I wouldn't "knock" those who don't share our optimism. Geno added some lean muscle over the "break" according to Pete...a good reflection on ability to throw from the pocket with a defender "crashing" in.

    That puts you with a lot of the fan base...I just see his arm and legs able to make use of his experience at reading coverages...with more play makers to make life easier...but I understand your hesitancy. I was in the "Drew Lock camp" but by the end of the year I was convinced of what I was seeing.

    Nice breakdown. A heavier dose of zone blocking use has unleashed athletic mauling guards/centers into the 2nd level (LB/SS zones) exploiting gap integrity against power/counter runs. As you pointed out certain coverages work better with bear fronts and I think our team can "turn the corner"...

    Run Defense is measured as total yds allowed...its an accumulation stat that gets exacerbated by allowing explosive runs. We had 8 games and one playoff game where we allowed 150 or more rushing yards...we won only 1 of those games (against Rams). Poona Ford at 5'11" 310 lbs played NT for us...

    Because of his excellent WR acumen he'll be featured in the "slot" but Tyler is also a mismatch playing out of the slot...and Pete has said already JSN will also play WR roles away from the slot position. Geno can't stop smiling when he "talks up" Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
