    Najee Harris visits Seahawks

Never been a Najee Harris fan. That being said, he ran behind a mediocre line in Pittsburgh and still managed to get 1,000 yards every season. With his ACL injury happening last September, not sure when he's going to be 100 percent.

    Mike Evans to the Digits

Yeah, and then you have 5th round picks like Tyreek Hill and Puka Nacua. If you hit it like that in the 5th round, you'll be living well.

    Bobo signing and K9...

Bobo was picked off the value menu. Still a good price. Jaguars didn't offer him that much more money than was originally tendered. I think the Walker situation is more connected to the JSN extension as well as the coming Witherspoon extension. I hate losing K9, but it's difficult to say that...

    Mike Evans to the Digits

It's tough picking wide receivers. We've had our share of busts (D'Wayne Eskridge, 2nd round 2021). Elsewhere in the league, recently from the first round, there was John Ross (#9 overall), K'Neal Harry, Jalen Reagor (#21 overall 2020), Kadarius Toney (#20 overall 2021) and Henry Ruggs (#12...

    Mike Evans to the Digits

Yes, and to prove your point, here are the wide receivers drafted by John Lynch in the first three rounds: Ricky Pearsall (1st, 2024), Danny Gray (3rd, 2022), Brandon Aiyuk (1st, 2020), Deebo Samuel (2nd, 2019), Jalen Hurd (3rd, 2019), Dante Pettis (2nd, 2018).

    Mike Evans to the Digits

I'll concede it's a decent signing. $14 million per year is WR2 money, and that's probably what they'll get from Evans, WR2 production. But age 33-34 is when wide receivers fall off the cliff. Because Evans' game is more than just speed, I think the 49ers will get one year of decent production...

    More Bobo!

It turns out that the last clause in the JSN contract extension said: "Seahawks must also agree to match offer to Bobo." It was also in Chuck Norris's last will and testament.

    Simpson top QB in draft?

The knock on Simpson is that he doesn't know how to throw with anticipation, to "throw someone open." But is it his fault in the highlights that his receivers were always open, lol?

    Simpson top QB in draft?

I only saw one Alabama game this year, but I was surprised by Ty Simpson's athleticism and his big arm. I thought he ran pretty well, although he's apparently not that fast. The results at the end of the season weren't that great, but this was not your typical Alabama team this year, and Simpson...

    More Bobo!

I just have a few questions: Did anyone besides Bobo battle a concussion, achilles and calf injuries last year? Who caught a touchdown pass in the NFC Championship game with a broken hand? Did anyone besides Bobo play in Super Bowl LX after breaking his hand two weeks before? I didn't think so.

How many HRs will Cal hit?

Here are Cal's career stats for 2022-2025: While you might expect some reversion to his career averages, you can also see that there has been improvement every year in his power numbers. And don't forget his switch to the torpedo bat in 2025. Although the torpedo bat only had a slight impact...

    JSN EXTENDED!

Meanwhile, the Rams and Puka Nacua are still negotiating. And since Nacua wasn't a first round pick, they don't have a 5th year option on him. https://nfltraderumors.co/extension-for-rams-wr-puka-nacua-not-expected-until-later-this-summer/ It was always going to be that the second team to...

    Spring training 2026

I'm a little surprised to hear that, but I think familiarity with the pitching staff might be a plus? I just wonder how much we'll get out of him at age 35 this year. I'd like to see Cal get a lot of games at DH to avoid injuries and to keep him fresh for the stretch run.

How many HRs will Cal hit?

Fangraphs is predicting that Cal will hit 39 HRs this year. ESPN writer Dave Schoenfield predicts that he'll hit 47. Matt Calkins of the Seattle Times says 45-49. https://www.seattletimes.com/sports/mariners/mariners-cal-raleigh-should-have-another-monster-season-in-2026/

Seahawks exercise 5th year options for JSN and Spoon

Yes, but that's the dilemma. The escalators like making the Pro Bowl multiple times is what gets the 5th year extension up there.

Seahawks exercise 5th year options for JSN and Spoon

On average, only 60 percent of first rounders get their 5th year option exercised. You only exercise the 5th year option for players that you want to keep. It gives you another year to negotiate an extension, in case negotiations hit a snag. Sometimes teams decline the 5th year options because...

Recap: NFC West opponent this offseason (so far)

I agree, getting Osa Odighizuwa for a third rounder was big. A result of the Cowboys being stupid. I don't hate the moves getting Evans and Kirk, but it's still a far cry from the 2023 WR room with Samuels, Jennings and Aiyuk. Mainly, the 49ers will be better from getting Warner, Kittle, Bosa...
