Riqs Agent - indicating a move

The 2021 draft was just after the pandemic, so there was very little information to go on, which might explain why JS went into it with such little capital.

Never let the 9ers forget this...

They've re-invented themselves before, but they can't get over the hump. It's been 31 years since the Niners won a Lombardi. If they were smart, they'd start planning for 2-3 years down the road. I don't think they're going to be relevant in 2026. They're not going to be able to compete with...

    POLL: Doesn’t Feel Real?

I started feeling like this team was the best in the league around mid-November, oddly enough, about the time we lost to the Rams. The Chiefs had done a face plant, the Eagles looked pretty bland, there wasn't a team out there in either conference that I felt were better than us. So, nothing...

Riqs Agent - indicating a move

Don't laugh: Riq Woolen may be in line to sign a deal with the Seahawks worth around $23-30 million per year, according to one estimate. https://www.si.com/nfl/seahawks/onsi/seattle-seahawks-riq-woolen-contract-prediction-nfl

Riqs Agent - indicating a move

The last time JS had just 4 picks...in 2021... he traded up.

Riqs Agent - indicating a move

Yeah, no kidding. Woolen is too much of a risk to commit that kind of money to. He's had motivational issues before, resulting in being benched by two different coaching staffs. He could be the type that plays great in his contract year then slacks off after getting paid.

Riqs Agent - indicating a move

Yeah, I'm hearing dollar numbers north of $25M. We have bigger fish to fry than to bring him back for that amount.

Never let the 9ers forget this...

Yeah, given that the average NFL team scores 22-23 points per game, bragging about running up 17 points on us seems a little lame.

Never let the 9ers forget this...

I never said it will be. The whole argument here is that the Niners look like a team whose window of opportunity is closing. With rare exceptions like the Patriots, teams only have a 3-5 year window during which they are serious contenders for a Lombardi. You can't deny that the Niners have...

Never let the 9ers forget this...

Apples and oranges. The Seahawks D on opening day in September was not the same Seahawks D we saw in December and January. You should know that.

    POLL: Favorite Seahawk logo

I realize that this thread is about logos, but whatever happened to the wolf gray uniforms? I would rather have had them for our alternate road unis than the road kill whites.

    POLL: Favorite Seahawk logo

Or how about their wrestlers assuming the Missionary position. The jokes were endless.

    POLL: Favorite Seahawk logo

Agreed. I like the lighter shade of blue of our original uniforms much better. But nothing causes me more discomfort than our radioactive Jell-0, puke green uniforms. Ugh.

    POLL: Favorite Seahawk logo

I always thought that the original logo, ie the Stoned Seagull, although fitting if displayed above a blackboard in a classroom on native American history, was one of the most inappropriate logos for a football team as it looked so passive. It seems fitting that our expansion sister, the Tampa...

    Rams/Niners in Australia

I was hoping that we'd draw that game. I visited Australia, including 3 days in Melbourne, last February and would love to go back there to watch the Hawks. I'm a huge supporter of the international series.

Hawks May Not Host The Season Opener

For the past several years, its been an unwritten rule that the reigning SB champion kicks off the following regular season opener, lately occurring on the first Thursday following Labor Day. But scheduling complications and a desire to get into the Labor Day weekend of which they ditched over...

Never let the 9ers forget this...

Not to mention that they're playing in the toughest division in football. They're due for a full reset. If they're smart, they'll kick Lynch to the curb and purge the roster.

Never let the 9ers forget this...

The Niners are the 2nd oldest team in the league, they're middle of the pack in cap space, and they're sitting in the #27 slot in the draft with no extra picks in the first 4 rounds. In two games within 3 weeks against us and on their home field, they scored a grand total of 9 points and zero...

    POLL: Redemption?

That's how I felt, too. Not just completely different players, it was also completely different coaches. Had it occurred a couple seasons following SB49, then yes. But it's been 11 years, and I've long since put that game behind me. I never once thought about it, not during the lead-up or in...

    Riley Mills sack.

Yeah, Butch and Sundance is my ATF western. They don't make movies like that anymore. Long term, Mills might have a future. He's been recovering from a ACL tear and has only been on the active roster since Dec. 13th. If that bull rush sack is any indication, he should be a pretty good run...
