    Geno wasn’t good this game

Even the second pick wasn't that bad. It's Geno's error for not throwing the ball away sooner, but watch the All-22 view of the play. Cross is pushed back into his lap, forcing him to re-establish outside the pocket. No problem. Except Jerrell gets beaten badly on the outside. Geno had no time...

    Bradford; 9/12 penalties & 6/7 sacks?

No. They are probably confusing his season totals with the game totals.

    Trade Ken Walker?

Brendon Nelson shouldn't quit his day job.

A different take - The optimism thread

I don't think you can look at Geno's turnovers in a vacuum. The O-line is still awful, and Geno had to play out of his mind to give us a chance to win—even before the turnovers. There are reasons to be optimistic. The defense is talented and improving, and the offense is great for stretches...

Potential candidates before the trade deadline

Depending on value, they have to do something at guard. They can't have the entire right side of the line be a turnstile and expect to succeed.

    Geno wasn’t good this game

PFF graded Geno 76.2 for his performance against the Rams, making him one of the highest-graded Seahawks. Ruiz and Lee were praising him in the Ringer podcast, noting the high degree of difficulty behind near-constant pressure. Speaking of pressure, Geno was pressured on 59.1% of dropbacks...

    Macdonald instant post game presser

That’s like saying Ali should’ve traded punches with Foreman because good boxers can win a fight with one punch. Sure. It's technically accurate to say that good teams can get one yard, but can this team? That's the only question that should matter to MM and Grubb. And let's be clear: this is...

Why do I watch this sport

This. I had a blast—one of the better home games this season.

    Macdonald instant post game presser

I don't think the decision to go for it was terrible in a vacuum. The problem is that we're an awful short-yardage rush offense. That's what ultimately bothers me about not kicking the FG. Mike defended it by saying good teams can get a yard, but good coaching means acknowledging the team's...

    Schneider

Schneider absolutely deserves criticism. It is beyond me how the guy who has run the front office for 14 years has gotten such a pass simply because Pete had the final say on player acquisitions. John even said this during his radio show in the offseason. He runs the scouting department. His...

    Geno wasn’t good this game

Okay. People in this very thread have flip-flopped on Geno this season. That's just reality. Yes. His picks were flukey. The pass you mentioned at the end of the game was probably his worst throw. That's the only one where I wondered what he was doing trying to thread that needle. The first...

    Who else was 100% certain

I still can't understand the decision. A) Why are we running out of shotgun on 3rd down? B) We're one of the worst short-yardage teams in the NFL, lining up on 4th in a formation that we almost only run the ball out of. So the Rams knew precisely what we were doing. I understand what MM was...

    Geno wasn’t good this game

I am not at all shocked that our fanbase is again flip-flopping on Geno. They won't care that he was once again pressured on 50% of his snaps, that his picks were mostly flukey, or that the offense is asking him to walk on a tightrope every game. That's okay—whatever. Fans are fickle. Geno...

Lofa: "You're Not Outcoached, You're Outplayed"

You might want to re-read your comments. Your thoughts and opinions about Pete were wrong and have been wrong to a comical degree. I don't recall applauding Pete, but that's neither here nor there. What's funny is that you were one of the most ardent Pete detracters, and you are currently...

    Anthony Richardson benched

I don't know. Kyle Shanahan couldn't get anything out of Trey Lance, and he was a more polished passer than Richardson.

    Time for a complete overhaul

How many people can name GM candidates to begin with? That's a tough ask. It won't happen this season, but if we're struggling to make the playoffs next year, I guarantee Vulcan will have plenty of names to replace JS.

    Sherman for GM?

I wouldn't want Sherman anywhere near the Seahawks front office.

Lofa: "You're Not Outcoached, You're Outplayed"

It's not ironic. Pete's defenders spent years hearing that his antiquated schemes, meddling, and philosophy were holding this team back. It was mostly the Let-Russ-Cook crowd, who've been wrong about damn near everything and are still pivoting from one bad take to another, trying to rationalize...

Thoughts on PFF's grading of our OL players

It's worth mentioning Cross is ranked 20th in pass blocking according to PFF. He's not really overvalued in that department. He gives up a lot of pressure because Seattle passes the ball at an absurd rate, and he's still only credited with one sack given up this season.

Opinions on our defense from Top Billin'

Except, it was not a slow turnaround under Pete. In 2011, the Seahawks were 7th in scoring defense and 9th in yards. In 2.5 years, Pete had the best defense in the league.
