    Yeah this is extremely common in the NFL with coordinators from successful teams. Hawks won't deny him the interview, they are pretty open about encouraging coaches in these situations.

    Yep, he had one good year with them and then gave us the ol' 28-3 Superbowl with Shanahan as the OC. They've been pretty mediocre to bad ever since.

    The Falcons have been an absolute mess the last 8 years. They definitely have some weapons on offense though, and the defense is actually decent, so it could be desirable place for an offensive minded coach.
