    Nobody watching Russ?

The correct conclusion may not be the one you are inferring here.

DK urging fans not to sell their tickets

From the consumer standpoint, Season tickets made a lot more sense before the advent of easy, secure purchase on the secondary market. It used to be that you had to know someone with season tickets, or risk buying fraudulent tickets. It also makes sense in markets where tickets are in high...

DK urging fans not to sell their tickets

Prior to 1999, the Hawks had only a couple of years of success. They were still known around the league as the loudest fans. I think it was the pricing out of Seattle of the rowdy fans, and I’m not just talking about ticket prices.

DK urging fans not to sell their tickets

What perplexes me is that fans from other cities are willing to pay inflated ticket prices, plus travel, plus time away from work, to come and watch the games, and Seattle residents, with their 3rd highest median income in the country, can’t cough up for just the tickets? I understand that...

DK urging fans not to sell their tickets

Yes. I don't remember where I first discovered this, but it's true. Hawkblogger mentions it here, in his post on this issue of The Disappearing Home Field Advantage in the NFL. Out of respect for Aros, who is the registered STH for the tickets I have, I only sell on Ticketmaster, or to...

DK urging fans not to sell their tickets

Not if you sell them through Ticketmaster, which is why many STH do exactly that. It feeds into the whole problem of opposing fans getting the tickets, but protects the STH from exactly this issue.

    Geno injury

Exactly. This year is an outlier. Either he is trying too hard, or there is something wrong with the game plan.

DK urging fans not to sell their tickets

This whole “just sell them to another Hawks fan” is a total canard, generally told by people who have never tried to manage a season’s worth of ticket pairs. I had one game this year where my tickets didn’t sell, even below face value. It’s looking like the Vikings game may be the same story...

    Felt like Lambeau

This year, I made the trip over from Montana for Giants, Bills, Niners, Rams, and Packers. It's not easy to lay out that kind of time for the product this team is putting on the field. From my perception, the people who complain about STH behavior mostly aren't people who have dealt with the...

    QB for 2025 season

Now I see what you are saying. I agree, Geno isn't re-signing for 25 million APY. He will likely demand something closer to 36 mil APY.

    QB for 2025 season

That's his cap hit minus the dead cap if we cut him. It costs us 25 million more to keep him than to cut him.

    QB for 2025 season

Unless you see a QBOTF in the 2026 draft, and you want to tank for him, I don't see why you go with one of those options, over just having Geno play out his contract. If that QBOTF is there, then go cheap as possible for 2025, and use the savings to build your line.

    QB for 2025 season

One problem is, Geno's net contract is 25 million next year. Darnold is currently 10 million APY, but he will be more expensive than Geno. Cheaper contracts, presuming they are available, would get someone like Gardner Minshew, Caleb Williams, Trey Lance, Joe Flacco, Carson Palmer, Carson...

It’s primarily a marker of longevity, (Career leaders are Brady, Manning, Brees, Roethlisberger, Stafford…), and a byproduct of being successful. Successful quarterbacks will play in more games, and thus amass more of these drives, but amassing them over a short time frame doesn’t necessarily...

Next Sunday game vs Green Bay....

Love the Blizzaks. We run them on my kids S5. I like the Haks a little better for the black ice I drive on, but the Blizzaks are probably a better tire when all winter conditions are considered. After driving across Stevens, on the way into Seattle, and Snoqualmie, on the way out, then on...

    Geno injury

Tired of beating this drum, but game winning drives, and come back wins, are not marks of good teams or quarterbacks. Good teams and quarterbacks don’t play from behind enough for this stat to pop up. Even in their one score games, more often than not, they are just protecting a lead, and...
