    Lions starting backup center tonight

For some reason it seems we don't capitalize on perceived weaknesses like this any more. I hope they do though. I'd love to see Bennett push Stafford and his wonky finger directly into a few of those patented Avril strip-sacks.

One coaching candidate 49er fans don't want Jed York to hire

"Chip Kelly’s relaxed style" ??? Really? Maybe I don't pay much attention, but I've never heard Chip described as relaxed.

    Chip Kelly For OC

I can't think of an OC more antithetical to Pete's philosophy.

So we miss the extra point AGAIN to lose the game

Many of us talked about how not re-signing Gresham would bite us throughout the season. :( But hey, we have a long snapper who gets downfield quicker. I guess.

    I hope I'm dead wrong

I'm trying to enjoy this season, but I feel like a dog who's repeatedly given a treat then promptly whacked on the nose with a newspaper. Every time the team raises my hopes, it quickly dashes them – often in mind-boggling ways. It kinda makes me not want the treat for fear of the letdown. I've...

    Don't take it for granted

Excellent perspective. I try to remind myself of this daily. Enjoy every sandwich.

    Burfict Flop

This is nuts. One of the dirtiest players in the league fools the officials – who yet again throw a flag at something that didn't happen. Is the pro football game becoming un-officiatable? http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300000 ... -with-flop

So what's the deal with the RZ offense?

Our anemic red zone offense is all about protecting the ball. It would be so easy to run a quick, timing pass to Jimmy. Just get the snap, set, and zip it to where Graham would be by his 3rd step. Almost every time that's either a TD or he gets interfered with and we start fresh from the 1 yard...

I guess I missed Prosise's injury. What happened?

Not a great situation, but Schneider & staff have their eyes on players everywhere. They already have a list of serviceable replacements, I would guess. They can bring in some young, hungry dude, then we get Procise back for the playoffs.

It's time to sit Jermaine Kearse

I already posted this, but folks keep insisting otherwise so I'll repost. According to the official stat keepers, Kearse drops 4 out of 100 catchable balls over his career. If people's eye test says differently, so be it. But their argument is contrary to the statistics.

Christine Michael released, claimed by Packers

Dave Wyman said yesterday, "There are guys who love playing football, and there are guys who love being a football player. Christine Michael seems like the latter." Without knowing the guy personally, that is the impression he makes.

Well, apparently "Inside the NFL" hates us too...

It's not about who doesn't "like" us or a "conspiracy." It's recognizing that the NFL packages its entertainment in a certain way. The pattern is they want the Seahawks to be the Iron Sheik of the league. They count on better ratings come playoffs and Super Bowl if the casual fan has someone...
