    Paul Allen has died

Darn. Rest in peace Paul and thank you for buying the Seahawks and all your other contributions to the world.

Please welcome our latest (and tiny!) Seahawks fan

Congratulations! Plenty of long nights ahead of you for the next half a year.

Jacob Martin with Pick No. 186

Everyone agree, this is the Hawks most underwhelming draft pick this year? A year in the weight room and on the practice squad though, and he could develop into a back-up player starting year 2. Not every rookie can make the roster.

    Undrafted Free Agent Tryouts.

Probably some medical issue as that or legal issues is what usually causes good players not to get drafted. Hopefully it’s nothing that will prevent him from contributing for a few years as we need another backup cheap run stuffer.

    Solid “B”

When factoring in the Richardson trade last year that cost us a 2nd rounder, which I disliked at the time of the trade and posted on here that we gave up too much draft capital and the Hawks would come to regret it, I’ll guess a C plus. But when just considering what quality and fit of players...

DT Malik McDowell expected to be released

Even if McDowell were to eventually get cleared to play in a year, that would be two years out of football games for him and he doesn’t appear to be the type of self- motivated individual who would keep himself in tip top shape on his own. I hope I’m wrong, and he does recover and play well for...

DT Malik McDowell expected to be released

At the risk of beating a dead horse: 2013 draft - no 1st round pick and no drafted players remain on team. Luke Wilson was ok as a sometimes starter. 2014 draft - no 1st round pick, Justin Britt is only player remaining on this team. Richardson was good when healthy. 2015 draft - no 1st round...

DT Malik McDowell expected to be released

This is hard to fathom if true. And the Seahawks should go after every penny of the signing bonus they gave him if they release him, considering he got injured from reckless behavior and never stepped on the football field for them.

    Vikings got Sheldon

Shead was released by the Hawks officially so his contract does not cancel out any free agents the Hawks sign. If the Hawks want any comps next year, then we’ll need other teams to sign Joeckel, Maxwell, and Willson to decent contracts.

    What happens with ET3?

A bit of wishful thinking on here. Few teams are going to trade a high 2018 draft pick (e.g., first round) for one year of Earl unless they can also work out/agree on a contract extension with Earl before they consummate the trade (only the Hawks front office appears to be short-sighted enough...

    Dave Canales to QB coach

What a disappointing hire compared to the possibility of bringing in Zorn. Perhaps Zorn's personality is a bit too strong and unique for Pete. Pete likes those qualities in his players, but not his coaches apparently.

    New QB coach ? speculation

Oh I would love Zorn for QB coach so so much. This would be my favourite coaching hire this year

2 Questions Reg. Kearse + Trades.

You only get compensatory picks for free agents if you don’t sign any free agents to high end contracts yourself. People on here act as if comp picks are automatic but they are part of a complicated formula. Not picking on you, but many posters on here who treat comp picks as automatic will...

Davis Hsu is suggesting Pete might trade Wilson

I thought the Browns had 2 first round picks this year, and had accumulated some seconds also, so I was assuming we’d be getting 7 or 8 picks in the first 2 rounds, not just 4. Agree that 4 picks isn’t enough value though.

Davis Hsu is suggesting Pete might trade Wilson

I mean if the Browns offered all their first and second round draft picks for the next two drafts, you’d have to at least consider it. There’s quite a few QBs coming out this year and that Jackson dude from Louisville seems like a Wilson clone and should be available in the middle to late first...

2017 Seahawks, Depth Chart, Roster Moves, Cap Position

That's strange about Coe being cut and Smith being brought back up so soon. Does anyone know if Coe played terrible on his only two snaps of a game last Sunday? Perhaps he did something behind the scenes (e.g., late to a team meeting) that the coaches did not like.

Neil deGrass Tyson Lateral was legit Galilean Transformation

You're exactly right and this is why the rule should be changed so that as long as the angle that the ball leaves the player's hand is behind them (91 degrees or greater I think) then the lateral should be legal. Maybe that's what the rule is already saying, it's a bit fuzzy the way the rule is...

    Freeney waived.

Apparently if a player is on the team roster as of Wednesday, you have to pay him for the full week, whether you cut him later on in the week or not. So cutting him on Tuesday instead of waiting to see if they get a claimed player, saves the Hawks one week's salary on Freeneys cap hit. The...

Who do we sign at RB this week?

I know he’s a fullback, but Marcel Reese could be a good addition if he’s stayed in shape.
