    What if Geno is solid?

So...set QB records on MNF, TNF, and make the ProBowl?

    Salary cap

I appreciate the response. I'm pretty well versed with both overthecap and Spotrac and how to read the contracts. My points were that single year cap numbers don't accurately reflect player contracts, (EG Adams counts as $5M this year but will count as $24M in a few years time), the highest paid...

    Salary cap

Is that actual 2021 salary, this year's cap, total current and future years' cap. Is it just starters, the whole roster, or something else? 1 year cap figures aren't representative of an individual player's impact on the current or future cap situation. Whatever. As has already been pointed out...

    Tre Flowers released

Flowers was on the final year of his rookie contract so his salary wasn't guaranteed. Releasing him opens up the pro-rata segment of his 2021 salary. Obviously his replacement will eat into those cap savings. I expect the Seahawks to add a cheaper but lesser player. If a cheaper and better...

Fire Carroll? Remember Schottenheimer and the Chargers

Schottenheimer Sr. was fired from the Chargers because of the owner. Comparing any other NFL owner to that owner would be a mistake. The Seahawks aren't a potential 14-2 quality team so comparing the situations with the 2 teams would be pointless.

The 49ers Really Botched The QB Spot This Year

On Sunday Lance looked like the least NFL-ready QB i've seen play in a decade. He was given a Kaepernick mk II offense to run and it looked too big for him. He might develop into a good QB some time down the line but he absolutely should not be playing right now. He might be able to execute some...

Are we going to make any changes in Coaches or Players?

Last season's winning start helped defuse some of the problems and gave the DC some time. The Seahawks have lost 3 of the last 4 and have done so giving up 1900 yards. That has to change or the DC won't get to the end of the season, (and he shouldn't).

Do you think Pete regrets not trading for Sam Darnold?

I was surprised that any team would gave up 2nd & 4th round picks for Darnold and then pay him $23.6M over 2 years. It's certainly not something a team that already had a better QB than Darnold should have considered.

    What if Geno is solid?

Wilson is unlikely to be back before the trade deadline and Smith is on a 1-year contract.

    What if Geno is solid?

You play the player who is most likely to get you the win. Right now it's not an issue. If/when Wilson becomes available the decision will probably be an easy one to make. It becomes more complicated if the team isn't in a win-now situation.

Honestly how does KNJ still have a job?

1900 yards over the last 4 games.

Jamal Adams is a liability in coverage

No Pete Carroll? (Asking for a friend).

    Hawks will win the division

Realistically to win the division the Seahawks will have to beat the Cardinals twice and win in Los Angeles. Sure, it could happen with 2 wins rather than 3 but that's a really low percentage possibility.

    The Double Punt

Whilst the 2nd pass has been illegal 'forever' it was still beneficial to attempt it, hence the new penalty for 2021. Someone could make a similar argument to you when it came to a long FG attempt. If it was blocked behind the LOS by the offense that player could attempt to punt the ball away...

    Hit reset, trade Russ.

I agree with you. No-one wants a player that can't play. Even if they did Wilson would be better off saying no and waiting until the off-season.

    The Double Punt

The current rule allows for 2 kicks. The current rule states he must be completely over the LOS for the 2nd punt to be illegal. So far all well and good from a Seahawks point of view. Clearly there were multiple players downfield. I don't know if that's illegal on a 2nd punt but clearly it...

    The Double Punt

Except that 2 forward passes are now illegal and punished by a loss-of-down penalty.
