"Not smart/clever/moxy enough for my taste" and "nobody outside of Seattle is pining for him".
These 2 statements explain why people don't like Geno. They'll say he's a good QB, but ...........Everything after but is just an excuse to have 1 of these feels.
That's Flores' thing. It either works or it doesn't. I don't believe they were particularly good against solid QBs this year, but that's just my recollection without any data
Darnold being a spaz doesn't surprise me. KOC not sticking with the run early when the Rams were getting way too much pressure and they were running pretty well is confounding. They had a 2nd/3 after getting 7 on a first down run early in the game. They went play action and it was a jailbreak...
As much as many here hate it, any of the replacement options they deem better options (Darnold, Baker, etc...) are AT BEST lateral moves. I would argue without improvement in the o-line/running game they'd be noticeably worse with us than Geno. None of them would be better
Yeah I just think he's extremely limited as a passer. He cannot operate in a drop back world at even an average level. He's a + in the run game, but the list of QBs that would make that offenses ceiling higher is way too long for what they're paying him.
If they lose its because someone forced...
I'm more convinced than ever that people either don't watch any of these games or have no idea what they're watching. This phenomenon doesn't even need the Geno component. These people are completely oblivious to how often all of these QBs make poor decisions, throw bad balls right at...
The Eagles are stacked on offense, but Hurts is not good. Great O-line, Barkley, Goeddert, Brown, Williams and they still can't operate an NFL passing game because of Hurts. They should be unstoppable
People confuse benchmarks with records. Benchmarks are in fact not records. They might be remembered by some, but they're nothing more than TV broadcast talking points at that time.
