Okay, so what exactly is considered holding in the NFL?

No other penalty in the NFL can wreck a game's enjoyment like holding penalties. Honestly, I wouldn't mind them as much if they were called consistently and evenly. It seems as if the refs are picking and choosing when, where and who to call holding penalties on and the it is clearly affecting...

    Playcalling - Get it straight

Great Topic!!! This conversation is way overdue! More Xs and Os guys keep it coming. Less bickering and pissing contests, please. Props to Twisted--get out of my head! you're saying a lot of the things that I think many Seahawk fans are frustrated by every Sunday and the past few seasons. Our...

Transition to put it on Russ

There it is folks...plain as day. I'll add that Russ is clearly becoming shell shocked. You can tell he isn't looking downfield onl all his drop backs. He still doesn't trust his offensive line--and you really can't blame him.

Aros' Fearless Prediction Thread - (Seahawks @ Broncos)

20-9... Broncos They have to turn Russell and the offense loose. But I just don't see it happening. Pete will want to run the ball to slow down the pass rush as he should, but the result will be similar to last year.

    Let´s talk expectations

If Pete plays to the strength of this team--the offense (Russell, the passing game, pass to setup the run), I think we surprise a lot of teams with offensive shoot-outs. if we try to pretend we're the still the SB Seahawks and rely on the defense, we crash and burn eventually.

Any difference in Wilson's pocket stance?

Envious might be too strong a word, but the comparisons and expectations are there. I know for me they are there. I think Russ has all the tools, but like most qbs he needs the complimentary pieces in place to reach his full potential (coaching, playcalling, supporting cast, etc.). Again, he is...

Any difference in Wilson's pocket stance?

I think we're a little envious of "other" quarterbacks and are wanting to see Russ take that next big leap--ala the usual suspects (Brees, Brady, etc.). He may simply never become those guys. we keep hearing about how great Russ is but we can all see the problems--some of which is and isn't his...

Imagine that, Sherm with something negative to say

Great post! Sherm is just giving voice to the frustration that himself, fellow LOBers, and fans are feeling: "What the hell happened?!?" "We had it all, we were supposed to be the next dynasty?" "We were supposed to be the next New England." "All of us could see the slow decline and...

    End of an era....

Not saying you're wrong but a lot of us who have gone through the tough years of being SOS or competitive and don't want to go back to just being competitive. You can see it and feel it--this team doesn't pass the "eyeball test". Being ahead of the curve, being elite and way ahead of the pack...

The D's downturn started last year with the depature of....

Yep. Take your pick: Shead, Lane, Maxwell or Jennings? All I see form all four are players who are always chasing the play from behind, who don't turn around to play the ball, miss tackles (arm tackles), etc. Sherman and Browner are the only corners who never looked over matched.

    End of an era....

Seconded. Now we are going to see just how good Pete and John really are. Sadly I have a bad feeling Pete is an old-school coach that believes in being loyal to his coaches until it becomes painfully obvious the team is no longer good. At that point he will simply move on. Somewhat...
