Philip Rivers will throw to Richard Sherman's side

I just saw a graphic that showed Rivers incredibly high completion percentage to middle and left side of field. He was above league average to all areas of the field except mid-right and deep right. So, with that in mind, Rivers will limit throws to Sherman's side (that is, with the new coaching...

    What does the Hawk say?

If you have been living under a rock and haven't seen the original song "what does the to say," please take a moment, google it, and watch before watching this video. This is just incredible. http://youtu.be/uO65jZ4U9uY

Schedule looking better by the day

Tampa game should be fun for Wilson fans who followed him from NCSU. It shall be named the TOB Bowl.

    Russell Wilson v. Andrew Luck

What short term memories people have. Does nobody remember Wilson throwing from the pocket behind the biggest (tallest) O-line in college (and bigger than most NFL lines) while at Wisconsin? Wilson scrambles out of necessity when playing behind a patchwork O-Line or play design to take advantage...

    All 22 notes, Indy.

The LB spy on Wilson was obvious early in the game when two read options were called back to back that ended a drive. In my opinion, those plays were called to confirm what they were seeing from the defense. With that said, it made no sense from that point forward why there wasn't a pass option...

    Defense #1 Priority on Off-Season

Without breaking down game tape, I believe most of the issues stopping the run have been off-tackle or outside runs (besides the "scheme" issues in the first 49ers game, which was a LB issue). In my opinion, the line in general is not dominate. The line does not collapse the pocket...

    Defense #1 Priority on Off-Season

Late game collapses by the defense in my opinion points directly to the lack of a consistent pass rush. With a backup QB in the game, the Seahawks blitzed with great effectiveness against the Redskins. However, you cannot rely on blitzing throughout a game to generate a pass rush (especially...

    Defense #1 Priority on Off-Season

Sando's latest blog entry that underlines the need to address defense in the off-season. No need to elaborate as the blog post explains it succinctly. http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcwest/post/_/ ... ms-worries

    An interesting Power Ranking Average.

Also, it is amazing how dominant Seattle is when analyzing stats and data. Imagine how it would look if the game plan was opened up a little earlier.

    An interesting Power Ranking Average.

That seems to be the most accurate depiction of what is really going on in the NFL. Good mix of subjective (eyeball test) and non-subjective data. I've been telling my friends for weeks that I think it will be a Denver/Seattle Super Bowl (NE wouldn't surprise me).

    Pre-nfl Wilson fans

Only reason I check this message board is because of Wilson. I've moved around a lot and never developed a true hometown team to root for. As a result, I root for NCSU alumni primarily. Wilson certainly provides the spark, but its nice to see Sweezy and Haushka contributing as well.

    The baby baby stiffarm!

I remember Russell getting hurt as well, but I also remember him being more judicious with his decisions while running as he gained more experience at the college level. In the same manner, I think he has shown a maturity with his run decisions as he has gained NFL experience. His ability to...

    The baby baby stiffarm!

As an NCSU alum, I have been following Russell since his freshman year. Get used to seeing that stiff arm. Russell has sneaky elusiveness. He doesn't look fast, but he usually makes decisive cuts and makes excellent use of that stiff arm to get where he wants to go. I'm hoping the Seahawks...
