Wild Card playoff fans Travel plans

it's also possible we could play in Minnesota or GB if we drop to the #6 seed. Unlikely but things can happen. if the Cards lose to the Packers this week then they will need to play ALL OUT vs. the Hawks in Week 17 to secure a bye. that will be a tough game for the Hawks.

What would you like to see over the last two games?

I agree completely with this sentiment - however we also need GB to WIN in Arizona to clinch the #5 seed this week. If they lose there is still a chance Minn can win the NFC North (with an unlikely win in GB Week 17) and GB could beat us out for the #5 seed. This scenario is actually not...

To rest the starters week 17 we need....

Remember - the NFL moves games in Week 17 so that teams don't know the outcome of the other games that matter to them. Right now there are 13 games scheduled for 10am and 3 games scheduled for 1pm. This will change a lot after the Week 16 games. There will be 1 game moved to Sunday Night...

To rest the starters week 17 we need....

To me the whole 'losing momentum' argument is soft, while injury or potential to injury are real. Think about it - in 2005, 2013 and 2014 the Seahawks had a playoff bye and made it to the Super Bowl. In 2005 they rested a lot of players and lost in GB in Week 17. Yes, they came out a little...

    Is there any scenario?

Correct. There is almost no chance the Vikings could win two road playoff games but the Packers would have at least a chance to do this with Rodgers.

To rest the starters week 17 we need....

Totally disagree. Guys like Chancellor, Shead, Okung and I'm sure plenty others are banged up and would benefit hugely from a week off before the playoff run. The Hawks have played more games than any other team the last 4 years. If we lock up the #5 seed next week it would be ridiculous to...

    NFC Playoff Picture (Week 16)

I think it's very important for the Hawks to clinch the #5 seed next week and be able to rest some players in Week 17. Okung, Shead, Chancellor, etc... If they can clinch the #5 seed and make the Cards game meaningless then they can let players get healthy, give Wilson some rest, and empty the...

    Playoff question

Good post. In this case the KC @ Houston game will probably be the early Saturday game because it's the least desirable TV slot and that game is very unattractive. In this scenario I think Minn @ GB would be Sat. night (NFL loves a night game in GB in January) and the Hawks would play on Sunday.

Am I the only one that fears the NFC East champ?

For me every NFL playoff game is scary because of the finality if you lose. That being said it would be silly to fear the winner of the NFC East when those teams are all bad. if the Hawks can't beat those teams they don't deserve anything this year anyway. Round 2 at Carolina or Arizona will...

    NFC Playoff Picture (Week 15)

Fantastic post. So here's best case for the Hawks this weekend to keep the NFC West title hopes alive. Must Happen or Division Title is Out: 1) Seahawks beat Browns in Seattle - yup 2) Eagles beat Cards in Philly on Sun. night - certainly possible the Eagles are playing better and Arizona is...

    Hey NFL: We're Baaaaaaack!

Pete writes in his book 'Win Forever' about how he builds his teams to peak at the end of the season and play their best football. We have seen that every year since 2011 and we are seeing it again. It's a beautiful thing to see. What is truly painful is if we hadn't blown all those games to...

    Vikings-Cardinals Game Thursday Night

Vikings last 4 games: at Ari vs. Chi vs. NYG at GB They might win 1 or 2. I do not see them winning a road game unless GB has nothing to play for in the finale (ie..locked into the #3 seed before the game). Unfortunately the Seahawks path to Santa Clara goes on the road this year. I do not...

Super Bowl XL* : Never Forget

I will never watch the video but I agree I still have the seething hatred for Pittsburgh. I have rooted against them every game since that day. The two times we have played Pitt since XL we have scored a total of ZERO points. I want to destroy that team so bad on Sunday. It will feel good...

    NFC West Playoffs

as much as it pains me to say (because I can't stand GB), it's better for the Seahawks if the Packers win the NFC North since they would hold the tiebreaker over us for a wildcard spot (beat us). We want Minnesota to be in the wildcard mix and if we can beat them on Dec. 6th then we would have...

Seattle could be flexed out of two Sunday Night games

Nothing happens to these people. if they can't go to the game they can sell them. you don't get a refund or any type of compensation.

Seattle could be flexed out of two Sunday Night games

Correct. That game is in 2 weeks - it is not being flexed, no chance. Especially for Vikings/Raiders??? Please. Sea/Bal in Week 14 is 90% to get flexed out because Baltimore is done. I personally will be happy if this happens because I will probably be able to go to the game if it's a 1pm...

Why do we hate Chris Matthews?

I don't understand this either. I want to see Matthews out there. I guess we are saving him for Super Bowl 50.

I think this team is about to gel. I believe we are on the

Stephen A. Smith just said on the air that he is staying with the Seahawks to win the Super Bowl.

    D's Gone Soft.

While I do agree this defense is not what it once was, let's not forget they were amazing the last 2 games (Chi/Det), and then for 3 quarters yesterday on the road against one of the best offenses in the NFL. Once again the offense hung the defense out to dry yesterday with zero production in...

    Seahawks - Bengals gets Buck/Aikman

Good news for us. I believe the Seahawks have won 3 NFC Championships and a Super Bowl with Buck & Aikman calling the game.
