    Out Coached....

Just a thought and observation...me not being an X's and O's guru either....but from what I understand, the difficulty of our OL to perform seems to be difficulty in picking up the zone blocking scheme? Again, as much as I understand (which I learn more and more everytime I think I get it), the...

Hawks didn't take this one seriously

I think SD did a bang up job exposing our pass coverage weaknesses (LB) and were impressively clutch when they had to be. Hats off to the Chargers. Every SB winner will get the absolute best and most focused play against them. Offensively, I think we went away from our formula of ground...

    Watching this panthers/niners game laughing

I am jealous of Carolina's offensive line. Look at how much time Newton has to survey the field. Look at how Newton pulls the trigger with authority to time the ball to the streaking receiver before the safety can close. Beautiful. And though Carolina is having issues at the goalline punching...

Can we overcome our own OC in the next game?

Personally, I think it would have been different if Percy was still playing in the 2nd half. All the things I think Percy brings was true: the defense MUST acknowledge his presence which opens up the run (in some formations) and should open up the other WRs.

These guys better figure it out by next week.

I'm not sure what the Hawks can really do with the players and offensive scheme we have. Execution is just really bad. You'd think by this time they would be better, but they are not. I just can't believe that can change in one week.

    Offense

Boy. Thank goodness we hung on this game. But man....with this offense....against EITHER SF or Carolina next week; this is the 1st time I am not very confident, home or not. Percy provided some good plays today, and helped spark the offense. But without him, personally, I'm just not sure.

    Golden game by Tate

Tate's body control and adjustment when the ball is in the air is UNREAL. That catch for the touchdown where he made an adjustment just prior to catching the ball was AMAZING. And he does so many of these acrobatic catches its ridiculous. This is not to mention his slipperiness and how he...

Game ball today Offense and Defense

I have personally been down on Sweezy, mostly for his poor pick up during pass protection. But on running plays? Oh man. That guy brings it and is a mauler. He is a true mauler. And I love it. Okung, Unger, and McQuistan need to observe and learn how its done on running plays from these...

Should the NFL fine Jeff Fisher???

The Rams played with intensity and emotion. Sometimes that spills over and the players SHOULD be accountable for them. I agree with the talking heads during the broadcast: some players just need to be ejected. That's how you control the cheap shots. But I will definitely not demonize the...

Game ball today Offense and Defense

I gotta give props to Lynch on offense. He ran like a madman today....something I hope he does from here on out. He ran with purpose, with controlled fury, with agility, and with speed. These are things I simply have not seen out of him. Part of the reason was definitely the offensive line...

    Ahhhhhhhhhh....MUCH Better.

The gameday forum (thanks to sutz for showing me where it was!) was WAY WAY better than the chat. Holy Smokes....

    Game time forum?

Wow. I am deciding to stay away from the chat. Unbelievable negativity whinning, crying, and bitching. Geesh.

    Game time forum?

Holy sh*t. How did I not see that? I swear...I really do....that I haven't seen that link from the main page this whole season! Man...I must be getting really old. Thanks sutz.

    Blowout

My humble feeling: IF we play like how I believe we can play, we can definitely blow them out. But, this means we need to be creative on offense and exploit the weaknesses of the defense that St. Louis calls. Many have argued that we didn't do this against Arizona...that we stubbornly stuck...

    Game time forum?

Awhile ago, before .net went offline for a short period due to hosting issues, there existed a gameday forum where we could bitch and moan or celebrate everything that happened during a game. Does that still exist on this forum somewhere? Forgive me if I haven't been very observant and it is...

    Now's the time Percy

I'm glad we have him. Godspeed on that recovery Percy. I hope when you are ready, you will prove people wrong.

    Its a hard choice

For all those conspiracy theorists out there: the NFL would love it if SF gets home field advantage. Imagine all those glitzy stories about the last season at Candlestick being magical and a magic carpet ride for the niners to head to the Meadowlands. The refs must be getting some extra...

All-22 from the Fieldgulls guys: Seattle just didn't execute

I personally agree with much of that analysis as it met my own "eye" test. Especially the offensive line which many on this board appear to believe were horrible during that game. I actually thought they did quite well, and especially Bowie. To me, it felt like Russell actually had quite a...

    Tim Hasselbeck on Seahawks WR's

This whole "lacking separation talent" thing is a two way street. I believe there have been many many plays where the WR's are "open", but not "open enough" for Russell. I actually think Russell is afraid of throwing the ball where other QB's would take the chance. I sort of blame Carol for...
