    The problem was defensive play calling. Even before the gore run, the worst possible scenario was them running the clock and kicking a last second field goal. We should have sold out a bit to stop the run, forcing them to throw. That way, there is a chance for incomplete passes to stop the clock...

    Winning 3 in a row against an opponent doesn't make a good rivalry. This loss makes the rivalry better. I'm ok with it, even though there is plenty of enjoyment to be had simply watching the 9ers fall on their face too.
