    Did the Seahawks Lose?

It depends on how much weight you want to give to such things as opponents, location, time, weather etc in critiquing a performance. Had we been playing a better defensive team for instance, with all other variables equal, my critique of the OL would be tempered by that fact. It is my opinion...

After a day to think about it...

Well, I'm just a simple fan of the game, but I would think basic run/pass blocking would be something they would unveil week one. ;)

    Did the Seahawks Lose?

No we didn't lose. If we played a better team, on the road, on the east coast, in an early game, we would have mostly likely in my opinion lost. We did enough to win, I'm happy about that. But I really don't understand fans that are satisfied with such a performance simply because we won. Do...

    If the final score was...

It is possible to "be happy" with the win while at the same time offering an honest critique on the team's performance. I'm happy. A win is a win. Now, I think the team can perform better. Much better.

    If the final score was...

The worst offensive team in the league doesn't win many games. That's the point.

    If the final score was...

Nobody is "complaining" about the win. Some are pointing out what should be obvious to any knowledgeable fan, we're not going to win too many games playing the way they did. I'm well aware of the east coast/early game difficulties of the Seahawks. Regardless, it was a poor offensive performance...

    If the final score was...

We aren't going to win many games playing like that on the road. I doubt the team or the coach are "satisfied" why should the fans be?

    Christine Michael

How many snaps did the rook get with the first team in pre-season or in practice? I don't remember (although I could have just missed them) him showing much against first team defenses during pre-season. First game, on the road, on the east coast , behind most the game, when our OL wasn't...

James Carpenter - not so good.

I don't know how anyone can pick out one player for blame when the entire OL performance was subpar.

Only the Best: Six plays that explain the weekend

Sending six could have been stopped. That's what FB's, TE's, Screen Plays, Draws, delayed handoffs, sprint outs, options, roll outs and quick slants are designed for. Regardless it didn't seem as though our OL was able move the DL at all even in the run game. I think they can play much better.

    If the final score was...

I'm ecstatic that we won. The point is that in my humble opinion the Seahawks need to play much better offense if they are going to beat better teams. Fortunately, I think the Seahawks are capable of playing MUCH better.

Only the Best: Six plays that explain the weekend

Really concerned about the line play, not only was Wilson being chased all over the field, Lynch was held in check. Seems to me the line play took a step back from last year. They need to play much better against SF. Wilson continues to impress me though (and no I haven't forgotten that I went...

    If the final score was...

You proposed a "what if" and I responded with a different "what if" focusing on the same part of the game. Wilson being chased all over the field, failure to score a TD in the first half. Unable to run the ball effectively. No. A late touchdown wouldn't have changed my opinion that the OL played...

Just thought you guys would get a kick out of this thread

I must be getting old(er). I used to be game for good smack talk with opposing fans, hell even with fellow Seahawk fans. I just conserve all that energy for game day now. I had to take a nap after the Panther game I was so worked up. No energy for foolish folks. :)

    If the final score was...

It could have very easily been 12-14 with around 4 minutes to go. This game was much closer than it should've been.

After a day to think about it...

How many read/option plays were called? However many, I expected to see a lot more. Our OL looked terribly outmatched - as in not even close. When Wilson has to run 20-30 back behind the line of scrimmage I don't see how anyone can think that was part of the plan. Seattle did barely enough to...

    Mike Rob Cut?!!!

What McGruff said and... You all talking about the Fullback position as if we are talking about a Punter! Its a rare skill set that players like Robinson have. Play any down and distance. Run and Pass block. Blitz pickup. Carry and Receive. Play action, draw, screen.... I'm sure I've seen him...
