    Ugliest win ever

I had the misfortune of being at the Bucs game. Flew up to the game from California. I was absolutely miserable during 4/5th of that game. It was horrible.

    Ugliest win ever

One the negative side the Jets make almost any opposing team look like a sloppy mess. On the positive side they seem to lose despite that.

In the presence of greatness: Leonard Williams 12/1/2024

I didn't get to see Cortez play very often. I was living on the east coast during that period and seeing the Seahawks was rare. So my knowledge of Cortez is mostly something like a legend. If he played better than Williams during this period it most have been glorious.

    Special teams

While there may be a relationship between player errors and coaching it is not a perfect correlation. Sometimes the talent you have available is not good enough or seasoned enough to perform up to par. It happens. The solution quite often is getting rid of the player who can't perform.

    And give it to who?

    Woolen: Paper Tiger?

I actually see this as a good/bad thing. We might be able to extend him at a lower price. I think he needs an attitude adjustment. Hopefully as the defense gels a bit more the problem becomes team corrected. At the same time, he apparently played well absent that play.

Bryce Young - Can you de-bust?

I personally believe that calling athletes "busts" so early in their career is ridiculous. This is especially true for QBs. There are exceptions to this rule for players that completely lack the physical capacity for playing the position. Think Dan McGuire.

Bryce Young - Can you de-bust?

Bryce Young seems to be playing pretty well since he's come back from the dead. So is he still a bust? Should there be a debusting ceremony?

    Woolen

At least Julian Love chewed him out.

    Here we go again

Okay we are far enough away from the 1 yard line to score.

    How was that incidental contact?

    Welll DK is a big guy...so unless he's hit hard it's incidental...right?

No faith in this team to get 1 yard on the ground in the red zone

We're better if we were 20 yards back than when we are from the one. i've never seen a team with this bad of a short yardage plan.

    We're actually blocking?

Okay this looks different. Did someone or everybody get chewed out?

    This offense

When the defense can get into the backfield without having the linebackers react, play action adds nothing. They're not going to bite and they are going to drop back into their shallow zones.

    This offense

Yes you do. If the linebackers don't jump up into the gap immediately, play action doesn't work. The whole notion of play action is the get the linebackers to bite. With this line they don't have to bite.

    This offense

What team would respect our play action. We can't run. Until we can run the ball, play action isn't going to be a solution.

    Does Grubb respect Walker, Charbonnet?

Of course that depends on why the middle of the line is getting shoved back into the backfield. If they are getting shoved back straight up, which is what it is looking like, running away from the middle of the field doesn't work.

    Does Grubb respect Walker, Charbonnet?

I honestly don't think that a good coordinator can overcome subpar talent and performance. I mean when the center off the offensive line (center, guard and center) keep getting shoved back into the running back, I think there is a serious problem with the quality of the offensive linemen.

    Does Grubb respect Walker, Charbonnet?

I think a simpler explanation still is the fact that our offensive linemen can't seem to move bodies out of the way. It's so bad that if we start of running in the earlier downs we end up with third and long.

    Bears fire Matt Eberflus

At the end of the Lions game it almost looked like he was trying to get fired.
