    Patrick Willis headed to IR...

...on Navorro, that knee pain seems to be similar to the knee pain that Marcus Lattimore had that forced him to retire. while I think Navorro has a good chance of coming back, I have a nagging feeling you are right - and that we might not see Navorro back this year, despite the prediction he...

    Patrick Willis headed to IR...

It comes with being a Champion, unfortunately. Once the injuries start, they just keep coming unfortunately.

    Patrick Willis headed to IR...

Demarcus is a slasher type DE that can somewhat hold his ground, but I don't think he can be a tree stump like Mebane - that's for sure. That Jordan Hill kid has the size I'd like at that position, but does he have the power to hold ground and shed?

Random Thoughts on the Rams game

That's a pretty tough but realistic way of looking at it.

the luck Wilson debate is over

You have a point about the coaches. Pearcy was a wonderful talent. For a coach to not be able to integrate his talents into the offense really puzzles me, unless that coach can't either from an x's and o's standpoint or a interpersonal skill standpoint.

    Unfortunately I have to agree.

St Louis or San Fran tonight?

heh. What a game eh Marvin? Colin doesn't seem to be the one read QB a lot of the Seattle folks seem to think he is. Then again, just an opinion folks. I still say Wilson can be a Fran Tarkenton, wonderful elusiveness and fantastic arm. Great talent there, but Colin has made progress when...

It's going to be a tough game, specially if P. Willis is out.

predictions for the Battle of St Louis?

I think that is a fair perspective considering seattle and the 49ers currently have the same winning percentage.

    It's official

There will be no easy games any year for a super bowl champion. It's just the way it is. Also on the injury side, superbowl champions tend to get more injuries than the average.

    Numbers Never Lie

When the ban hammer is hanging over your head like the sword of democles, minding the P's and Q's is not a luxury, but a necessity! :thirishdrinkers:

OMG, on a 49er forum about can the Seahawks be dethroned

Well the NFL allowed the 49ers to win 5 times, then they destroyed the franchise with the Salary Cap. Welcome to the club! And I hope you are right, the 49ers need all the luck and Illuminati magic they can get to deal with that awesome 'Hawk home field advantage that has absolutely...

OMG, on a 49er forum about can the Seahawks be dethroned

:th2thumbs: You can get a lot of things by posting on a rival teams boards, I agree! But I think diabetes isn't one of them.

OMG, on a 49er forum about can the Seahawks be dethroned

The reason for the struggles for both QB's is the very strong defenses each team has. With the fact that Seattles defense was stronger than the 49ers defense last year. Seattles home field advantage, is of course, *legendary!* Having said that, I think Pete got lucky with Wilson. A 3rd...

Time for the real important question

As the super bowl champs, I wouldn't be surprised if all four pre-season teams (or at least the Bears and the Raiders) put starters back in - in the 4rth qtr if they are really losing badly, or maybe close to a pre-season win. :hmmmm:

Numbers never lie, but then again, there is that famous quote by Mark Twain. ""There are three kinds of lies: lies, damned lies, and statistics."

    Dynasty??

I would definitely count Seattle as a dynasty of they do a 3 peat. Specially in the days of the Salary Cap and Free Agency, that is something very very very tough to do.

No Harbaugh extension until after season

Certainly it might look like they are not getting along. I think Eddie fired Walsh 4 times and re-hired him back 5. Eventually Walsh retired after a couple of good seasons and became GM later. There were some contentious moments, but they eventually made up - is what my point is. I think...
