    Chris Harper signed by 49ers!!!

I have to agree. Losing Marquis Gray hurt, but looks like the 49ers got a possible replacement for him. I loved Delanies versatility and I really liked Chris Harper once I found out more about him via the 'Hawk boards.

Wilson looked human in the Green Bay game. I'm wondering if the 'Hawk players are too dependent on the emotion provided by the fans in their home stadium to play. Why do they look ordinary when they are away from C-link?

49ers bringing in Seneca Wallace for tryout...

Well considering that AJ Jenkins was the fastest 49er WR - but he's been traded, and Baldwin isn't fast, in the sense of WR fast, just lumbering fast like a linebacker - you might get your dink and dunk 49er offense yet. The rest of the 49er receivers are pedestrian in the speed department. OK...

    49ers drop Lockette, Sign Wallace

That's true of a lot of these specialists. They play track and field and the coach sees that speed as he runs track and persuades them to try out for football, when their main interest is really track and field. It's true, the 49ers don't have a lot of 4.3 guys, but they do have a couple 4.5...

    49ers drop Lockette, Sign Wallace

Well there were high hopes for his skill set. Wonderful speed, but apparently not much more than that. No hands, no shake and bake, and no catches at all in any pre-season games.

    49ers drop Lockette, Sign Wallace

yeah Marvin and NinerBuff, I'm with you on your points. I do think Lockett experiment is over, specially with Baldwin being bigger, just as fast, has more talent. As for Seneca, his mobility in the pistol formation is a plus. BJ lit up KC and I think he's doing that in practice - otherwise...

    For Ninerbuff... You're just wrong.

:3-1: Heh, the .Net boards were the most difficult to get onto and I'm on a majority of the fan boards, but I post mostly on three of them. I waited a year also to get here, and Laofotatupu pulled some strings and after a year, I'm finally here. I appreciate another perspective on...

Oh absolutely agree it's way to soon to compare either Kaep or Wilson to any HOF QB. Wilson definitely has more games to bring his sample size closer to something more determinable statistically, but still 18 games is still way under the needed sample size to get a good reading - again both...

*If* there is a comparable QB record (regarding the limited sample size of 10) it would be Marino. Everybody predicted Marino, after he went to the superbowl with a limited sample size of 18, that he would be in the superbowl again sooner or later, but he never made it back. That could happen...

In terms of measurables, Kaepernick is up there though. I"m thinking top ten in speed, mobility, arm strength, accuracy. I'm also putting Russell up in the top 10 also. What gives the 49ers great confidence in Colin is not so much Colin's intangibles, but his coaching. Harbaugh has a great...

    Kaepernick Interviews...

That's the safe way of doing things. Wait till it's certain, then crown them. I"ve seen enough of Wilson to see he has a fantastic arm, great accuracy, great mobility. Give him a good O Line and some half decent WR's and he is going to be an explosive QB. ONce he masters the...

Wilson is a fantastic Quarterback. He and Kaep will be dueling it out for years. the TV ratings when they meet will be through the roof! :th2thumbs:

I agree, Russell Wilson is much better than Dave Krieg. What will be important for Seattle is stopping the run. If Seattle can't do that - then that will negate Russell Wilson's explosive offense by sidelining him with ball control offense.

Bucs Trade Eric Wright to the Niners

One of the main reasons that it requires a membership is because a lot of kiddies are on that boards and the 49ers organization wants to make it family friendly, ie. no swear words, and no pron or semi pron stuff, there is no real *smack* talk allowed - and I define smack talk as calling folks...

Biggest difference between Harbaugh and Carroll

Personally, you should be complimented that the 49er fans are interested in your team. It's, I think, a sign of respect and an acknowledgement that your team is good and a worthy rival and worthy to be paid attention to. The fans of the top of the line teams usually don't pay any attention to...

Biggest difference between Harbaugh and Carroll

A coaches job is to coach. A GM's job is to built the team via player personnel moves. Considering both organizations are *different* in how they are structured, it's a tough comparison to make. The roles do overlap, no argument there, but the difference in the two roles is that the GM has to...
