Do the Hawks value the LT position differently?

It's a fair point, and I agree the draft is going to be very interesting in that particular regard. Though that would still mean that they do value the LT position differently, they just undervalue pretty much all of the OL positions as well.

Do the Hawks value the LT position differently?

So, Okung left without too much of a fight from our Front Office. Despite reported interest in a couple of reasonable stop-gap solutions, they have made absolutely no move at all. A lot of teams would have handed out a panic contract to one of those stop-gap veterans by now. I wonder whether the...

Greatest areas for improvement in 2016

Totally what I was getting at, particularly out of a spread look. NE seem to get results with them whenever I watch them. I'm sure they were looking at the opportunities left open in the middle of the field as well, but thought that was best taken advantage of by getting a big target like Jimmy...

Greatest areas for improvement in 2016

What were we trying to run for the Keuchly pick near our own GL in the playoffs? My memory is playing up.

Greatest areas for improvement in 2016

The DE hasn't rushed upfield, so he is in the general area of where the RB has slipped out to to set up the screen. Plus the spying LB may read it as well.

Greatest areas for improvement in 2016

Anyway, unless teams start playing us differently, I don't think traditional screens will work for us. We typically see DEs rushing in a controlled way and not going behind the QB, plus a LB spying, so I don't think defenses are throwing sufficient aggression at us for us to be able to use it...

Greatest areas for improvement in 2016

It's funny, when I see us try screens I always think RW is off in his timing throwing them. Plus, if teams are going to try to rush RW from the inside and keep their DEs back to contain RW as seems to be the book on him now, we're going to have to accept that traditional screens might not be...

The Official .NET Awards - Nominations

Scotte and Kearly are perennial pro bowlers, but Hawkscanner, Mcgruff and Chris90210 need to be on the ballot on the basis of their recent work.

    Seahawks re-sign CB Lane

5.75m APY apparently, although only 11m is guaranteed. Not sure how I feel about it right now, but it looks like a poor FA CB market, so that is probably market rate.

Pe takes worse poundings than Russell on a weekly basis. Well, worse/better - depends on your view of these things.

Irvin to Raiders (Clayton—9.25 million per year)

I loved Bruce, but paying nearly 10m for a SLB just is not a good idea. Yes he can rush from end on nickel downs, but I think there are better rushers to be had. At 10mil per season you could probably get his production from paying both a SLB AND a DE, and with 2 players you sort of half the...

    EPL 2015-16 Season

Jose has gone. Unless Pep comes in the Summer, I reckon in two year's time they will look back and realise they made a mistake.

    My wee country

Just a brutal result for Scotland. Beat RoI at home and draw with them away. Draw in Poland then lose a 94 min equaliser to them at home to end up only getting another draw. So Poland go through and RoI go into the playoffs. Easy to forget now but there was chat of O'Neill losing his job after...

    Seahawks NFL Game Pass question

You get a replay with Gamepass - in fact, you can go back and watch regular season games from the archive. The good thing is that the replay has all of the dead time taken out - no commercials, time outs, etc. I have used it every year going back to Holmgren's last season and couldn't live...

What was your first .Net post about?

Mine was about Hasselbeck and Whitehurst. As such, it was completely original and created the level of respect, if not awe, for my thoughts that I enjoy today.

Britt practicing at left guard, Gilliam at RT

Anybody want to help me set up a Kickstarter to fund a documentary by Evan Mathis on gameday at the C-link? Should take him about 6 months, so I think he'll need a budget of $7m or so. If he's going to be in the stadium anyway, he might as well take the league minimum and play the season for us.
