the luck Wilson debate is over

"Now when you are trying to hold your ground against someone you don't stand straight up, so a 6'4 center would then bend his knees to block a D-Tackle. So if you're understanding the math this creates a measurable window between the QBs hand (he raises it above his arm to throw the ball) and...

the luck Wilson debate is over

RW cannot stand directly behind the center and throw a pass vertically downward to a RB in front of the center. Almost no one can do that, tho. Who cares? Luck is listed at 6-4. His center, Jonotthan Harrison is also listed at 6-4. So, if I'm understanding your criteria correctly, Luck also...

So, if I'm understanding your criteria correctly, Luck also cannot "throw a pass vertically downward to a RB in front of the center," Unless, I suppose the center was on the...

As I see it,.........that's our 3 losses this season

I agree there's no reason to panic. But, I'm not quite as optimistic as you. There are some definite concerns to consider. OL play has been bad. Turnover rate is abysmal compared to last season. Rushing game inconsistent. Pass rush lacking... All said. I still think this team makes the...

    Officially resetting expectations

Everybody panic. Let's be like all those other fan bases and implode after 6 games. Let's forget that it wasn't even two full season ago that we turned 6-5 into 11-5 and nearly a trip to the Championship game. There are some major concerns, sure. Penalties, defensive intensity, turnover margin...

Derrick Coleman broke his foot in warm-ups

Seriously. How does that even happen? Warm-ups? Like stretching and jogging and doing very very light drills?

    I have no words

I won't call it a collapse just yet. 2012 'Hawks were 6-5 before the final stretch that put them just seconds away from the NFC Championship game. A little disappointing, sure. But not yet a collapse. The Rams ALWAYS play the Hawks tough, especially in St Louis. They were hungry as hell to...

    Penalties

Totally. Pre snap penalties! WTF is it this season? Why does the team CONSTANTLY kill its own momentum with all these totally avoidable pre-snap penalties? Seriously. Neutral zone infraction? How often does that really happen to teams who aren't the 2014 Seahawks? And false starts? We have more...

the luck Wilson debate is over

That's interesting. I was considering posting a statement about how there's no doubt that Wilson is a playmaker. (vs. a "game-manager") Why compare him to Luck? And what, specifically, has you so discouraged? Wilson just had 300+ yards passing and 100+ yards rushing and 3 total TDs to 0 INTs...

paging cliff avril and michael bennett

Bennett seems to be playing fine to me this season. But he can't do it all by himself. Avril has been seemingly a no show..but even Avril needs some more help. Interior pass rush has been non-existent, and coverage has seemed soft at times. Avril doesn't seem to thrive well under those conditions.

    uniforms leaked?

Yeah, I've only ever noticed them being worn on the road. At home we always rock the blue jerseys.

    About Russell Wilson

A lot of folks are coming around to that same conclusion, actually.

    tons of injuries so far

It's bad for the game, sadly. Week one injuries to key players. Plus, it's killing my fantasy team. Cam Newton, and now Ben Tate...

    Strange sayings during hawks games?

I have a habit of yelling "PERCIVAL!" every time Harvin makes a play :)

    Is This Real?

I'll admit, I'm not nearly as long-suffering as some of you guys who've been around for all of it. But, to be fair, I wasn't born until 1984, so that limited me in some ways :P I started really rooting for the 'Hawks in around '93-'94. Rick Mirer was our QB the first time I decided I, like me...

    Top 5 Seahawks RBs

Pretty solid list, though I'd put Warren on it instead of Ricky Watters and swap Marshawn with Shaun. I love Shaun Alexander, and I agree about his smooth field vision. But I felt he danced around a bit and never forced his way THROUGH the tough yards when holes weren't opening up. I think...

49ers Super Bowl teams would beat us to a pulp?

...That seems to have replaced the rhetoric of "We won 5 Super Bowls. Where's yours?" as the Niner fans favorite fall back. I've noticed it recited by homers on their forums. It only really makes me laugh. How can you not? WE WON the Super Bowl! THIS Super Bowl. Niners haven't won in 20 years...

    I had a nightmare!

It's history. No one can ever take this season away from us. For once, finally we were the last team left standing, and it feels every bit as good as I ever imagined. Now let's go do that 2-3 more times in the Russell Wilson era!!

    Old Mebane

Of course, back then fans would "get a wiggle on" to arrive at the games via horse-drawn carriage and the team was known colloquially as the Shave-tail Shenanny-Hawks. We still bemoaned our rivals' propensity towards whining, but we called them the Forty-Four-Flushers, but that was only until...

    good little gem

ASJ has improved his blocking since he started at UW, but I'd say he's still a significant downgrade from Miller in that regard. However, offensively the dude is loaded with the kind of skill set and athleticism that is prized in a TE. He'd make a wonderful receiving option for Wilson that...
