    Seahawks Mythbusters: Play-calling

It's almost always about execution. The only call I had serious issue with was the screen to Lynch at the end of the game. Screens are usually boom or bust and you can't afford to have a negative play there. I would've preferred letting Wilson throw down the field or even 2 more running plays...

    Still the 6th seed

I want this team to win a Super Bowl at some point. I was hoping they would win today and SF would lose and a division title (and possible bye + home playoff game) would still be within reach. Instead, we'll be lucky to make the playoffs and if we do I can't imagine winning even one road game...

    Wilson and secondary......

There is no way that Russell Wilson is in any way responsible for the loss today. This team is supposed to be built on the backs of a strong defense and they have folded in several 4th quarters this year when they needed a stop. It's reality and it sucks.

Just so we're clear - Lions are the #4 Offense

Just so we're clear - Dolphins were the #29 offense. So tired of the excuses made for the defense after every other choke job this year (Arizona, Detroit). There are no excuses to be made today. The reality is, this defense is extremely overrated.

This defense will destroy Ryan Tannehill

Congratulations to the elite Seahawks defense for destroying Ryan Tannehill this week (Sarcasm On). This defense makes me sick.

Well... At least everyone else is lossing as well

Better root for SF, cuz there's no way Seattle wins the division after today. Saints could knock them out of the wildcard though. I'm not even sure I want to see this team play on the road in the playoffs. Can you imagine the ass whooping Green Bay would put on this team in Lambeau and how...

    All-Time low.......

8-8 football team. Will lose both the remaining road games and a close game to SF at home. I wish I could say I'm surprised but I'm not.

    blue endzones and tanzania

They've mostly been the way they are now but they were blue for several games last year after the Sounders season was over (Eagles, Rams, 49ers for sure).

Apparently the media still hates the Tate catch

But didn't you know that the Lions are great on offense and unstoppable? Stafford is a modern day Montana! At least we got close! :sarcasm_on:

This defense will destroy Ryan Tannehill

Totally agree. This team has to prove they can win on the road before we expect them to do it. There are numerous examples over the years of the Hawks going on the road and losing to inferior opponents in asinine ways so I'll hold my breath that this version can change the "can't win on the...

    Jersey Question

50% off deal? Really? I'm not seeing it on their website.

PFF: Richard Sherman becoming league's best shutdown corner

Sherman and Browner are both great football players. I don't see the need to disparage one in order to lift up the other. IMO Sherman is the better player but that is not a knock on Browner. Sherman has a chance, without hyperbole, to be a hall of fame player. He is rangy, physical, quick...

Well, those guys are all idiots so I'm concerned.

    Where is Chancellor?

    Hasselbeck is mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn.

    Bevell's use of Tate

Agreed. He had 0 drops in 2011. He had one bad game this year in terms of drops (at San Francisco), so I'm not sure that dinging him for drops is warranted.

All TD passes against us today were on 3rd down

Broyles' TD was on 2nd down but I feel ya OP. It only felt like they were all on third down. Brutal performance by the defense.

Just so we're clear - Lions are the #4 Offense

Agreed. They've given up the lead in the 4th quarter in 3 games this year. Also allowed Bradford to convert 5 third downs of 8 yards or longer. Allowing ~44% third down's to be converted this year. Can't get to the QB on the road. Embarrassing.

Just so we're clear - Lions are the #4 Offense

I agree with everyone in this thread except OP and ensett. I don't care if they're playing the Greatest Show on Turf, Montana's 49ers, the 2007 Patriots, etc...allowing 12/16 3rd down conversions is unacceptable. Elite defenses SHUT THE DOOR when given the lead in the 4th quarter.

    Some love for Russ Okung

He has definitely played better as the season has progressed. I think several of the holding calls he's had against him have been VERY suspect. Hopefully he continues to play well and most importantly, stays healthy (*knocks on wood*).

Has this ever happened before? (12th Man Flag related)

I can't wait for the day when Hasselbeck is able to come back and raise the flag. Definitely one of the most beloved Hawks. I hope Alexander gets a chance to come back soon as well. The last couple years he was here there was a lot of vitriol spewed towards him and some of it may have been...
