    Wilson sack before half

Echoing the sentiments of the other posters here. Sweezy got dusted so quickly that Wilson never had time to get rid of the ball. His football intelligence is off the charts, I'm sure he knew he can't take a sack in that situation but the defender was on him so fast he couldn't throw it away.

    This blew my mind (Sando)

In 100% agreement with both of you. It's a shame that the defense can't be counted on when they're needed the most.

    This one is on

The "elite" defense blew 5 (FIVE!) fourth quarter leads on the road this year. Arizona, Detroit, Miami, Chicago, and of course, Atlanta. For a defense that gets so much "pub" and talks so much trash it'd be nice if they'd actually help this team win games in the 4th quarter. It's...

I think Lynch was simply worn out.

Only other game he looked so bad was in Miami. We lost in similar fashion thanks to the defense crapping themselves .

Worst part about losing to soft ATL

Because their coach is a MONSTER douche, their players (specifically Crabtree, Anthony Davis, Dashon Goldson, Vernon Davis, plus a few others) are also douches, and their fan base consists primarily of smug, jerkoff bandwagoners who love to talk about the Super Bowl's they won 25 years ago...

Get rid of everyone and start again

Congrats on your optimism. I really do wish I could feel as you do at the moment but I see a blown opportunity by a paper tiger defense that folds whenever they are needed. Dan Marino made a Super Bowl his rookie year and never got back. He was one of the greatest QB's in the history of the...

    4th Quarter Defense

I feel like we have the same brain. Everyone (media, most fans) talks about how this defense is "elite" based solely on statistical categorization but JESUS H CHRIST this defense has caved in the 4th quarter so many times it's disgusting. The BEST defenses step up when they need to and this...

    Matt Ryan at home...

Hmmm.... "Wilson leads the NFL in Total QBR on the road since Week 8. His 107.2 NFL passer rating on the road over that span ranks third behind Matt Ryan (113.9) and Aaron Rodgers (112.5)." http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcwest/post/_/ ... t-redskins It's not your fault that you're uninformed...

    Gus Bradley Interview with Philly

It's the cost of being a good football team. Rather have our coaches wanted than the alternative. I don't think he'll get the job, however.

Marshawn and the picked up fumble

    I read it. Good call.

KJR: Chris Clemons - torn ACL?

Very concerned about this going forward this year AND looking to the start of next year. Devastating loss if true. He's the most underrated player on this defense and easily our best pure pass rusher.

    bye bye Trent Williams

Hard to see you being impartial given your online handle BUT I'll give it a rip... Sherman has not once, ever, done anything selfish during a game to hurt Seattle's chances of winning that game. The only time he even got close to doing so was after returning an INT for a TD against Arizona and...

Here's the real Q.... Are the Falcons better than the Skins?

Falcons are much, much better than the version of the Skins we saw today. I'm most worried about Tony Gonzalez matching up with our LB's and Safeties. If we can control the clock and put enough pressure on Ryan we will have a chance but it will be a very tough task.

    Falcons 28 Seahawks 17

Disagreed. Atlanta may not be the most impressive team left in the dance, despite their record, but Matt Ryan has an incredible record at home over the past few years. It will be a very tough task to go into Atlanta and win this game. If they were able to win at Atlanta it would be the most...

    Mike Greenberg picks Hawks

His NFL record this year on picks (known as "Lead Pipe Locks") against the spread was 10-19-3 and when he picks a team to win it is officially known as the Greeny "KOD" = Kiss of Death. This is not good news.

Seahawks have won 2 games because of the refs

The Bears game was heinously officiated and one-sided in favor of Chicago. I can't believe someone could even make the argument that Seattle benefited from the officiating in that game.

If this current team played the 05' team on a neutral field,

I voted for the '12 team because the game would be on a Neutral Field, which is essentially a road game. The 2012 incarnation of the Seahawks seems better equipped to win on the road than the 2005 version. In 2005 they had a 5-3 road record and one of those losses was the last game of the year...

Not sure if I understand this (can we win the division?)

If Seattle wins out and SF loses out, we win the division. Unlikely that SF would lose at home to AZ but not impossible. Any other scenario and Seattle is a wildcard at best.

    Niners just lost......

Hopefully we can take care of business and get a little help. Gonna have to run the table though I think. 11-5 can win the division. 10-6 probably doesn't get it done.

    My hopes after this loss...

Contenders or Pretenders question was answered in the 4th quarter today.
