Wilson #5 Ranking the Top 50 Quarterbacks from 2014

Now that is an excellent post! I had to laugh but also agree with you. Trent was awful and stating he was a "game manager" is just a nice way to say they didn't have a real QB so they brought in Dilfer in hopes he wouldn't lose it for them. Well, he was a better alternative to Tony Banks that...

Darrell Bevell OTA Press Conference 6/2/15

Things don't happen in a vacuum in Seattle. While Schneider is the GM and will get credit for pulling the trigger and selecting him, Pete Carroll and Darrell Bevell also get credit for not only watching and scouting his games, but attending his pro day (which very few scouts did) and talking to...

Darrell Bevell OTA Press Conference 6/2/15

Bevell scouted him and brought it to their attention about how good Wilson was. In 2012 off-season, Bevell was scouting quarterback Russell Wilson, who attended Wisconsin, his alma mater. Bevell attended Wilson's pro-day which very few NFL scouts attended. Through the off-season, the Seahawks...

Darrell Bevell OTA Press Conference 6/2/15

Keep in mind, it was Darrell Bevell who brought Wilson to the Seahawks. Without him, you'd still be looking for a starting QB and most likely a trophy. 1 yard away from back to back Super Bowl victories. You don't fire guys like that. Especially given the talent on offense isn't all that stellar.

No argument on that. Not too many guys have the wheels like Wilson and a great arm to go with it. LCJblaUkkfc

Here is a good breakdown of why that play was so special: http://allgbp.com/2015/01/15/a-breakdow ... e-packers/ Not exactly, but I do love this one: and since you like Radiohead: AatLL_SI9Rw

Wilson #5 Ranking the Top 50 Quarterbacks from 2014

I agree with you that Wilson's numbers will go up as the talent around him gets better. He would have even better numbers if he had a WR or a combination of great WR's that could do a better job getting separation. The reason Wilson hangs on to the ball longer than any other QB is probably a...

Fahey says Wilson, not Revis, took Baldwin out of Super Bowl

Some. I usually ignored them as a topic that really didn't need discussion and very much "homer" discussions. More based on tearing down the other player instead of any actual facts. I noticed a lot of RG3 vs. Luck by the talking heads with Luck getting pretty much disrespected. Now, they are...

Fahey says Wilson, not Revis, took Baldwin out of Super Bowl

Yes, very different. Agreed and an excellent point. And whoever is trying to compare them knows jack squat about either player and is trying to make an ill fated comparison based on the sole fact that each team was predicated on a superior defense. As Uncle Si correctly points out, Wilson is...

Fahey says Wilson, not Revis, took Baldwin out of Super Bowl

There is exactly no link between Dilfer and Wilson. That was the point being made. Unless you want to get as vanilla as both won a SB and both play QB.

Fahey says Wilson, not Revis, took Baldwin out of Super Bowl

If not Wilson, then who is the most important player on the Seahawks? Why? To answer your question, Dilfer was not the most important player on the Ravens but he was a season changing addition to the starting lineup in place of Tony Banks. He was a "game manager" as opposed to what Wilson is...

Wilson's Agent on right now with Brock and Salk

When I say "low ball", I read that the Front Office was trying to think outside the box with Wilson. In other words, Schneider was trying to construct a deal that had never really been seen in the NFL up to this point. In fact, rumor had it that the deal he was working on with Wilson was so...

Wilson's Agent on right now with Brock and Salk

Good post. I get the differences in the different era's of football and it is hard to compare them. But the single factor that separates what happened in the two cases is that the 49er front office went to Montana and paid him as the highest paid QB in the NFL. The Seahawks are trying a...

Wilson's Agent on right now with Brock and Salk

Yea, I beg to differ there. It was never an issue with Montana because the 49ers flat out made sure he was the highest paid QB at the time without even so much as a lengthy contract dispute. (According to the annual salary survey conducted by the NFL Players Association, Montana signed a...

    Going to Green Bay!

You have it backwards. I am correcting inaccuracies or pointing out why "ptisme" is stating "we" when referring to his sports team. But really, what is the point? Can't you guys let it go, along with all the insults and let us help you on your trip up to Lambeau to see the game?

    Going to Green Bay!

Trolling? The trolling comments are coming from Hawk "fans". Green Bay fans have been defending our team, city, stadium and offering help to those that request it when they come over for a game. Ptisme had nothing derogatory to say until he was insulted. He gave you places to stay, things to do...

    Going to Green Bay!

Chances are, he is a shareholder in the Green Bay Packers, so technically, he is allowed to refer to himself as "we" when it comes to discussing his team. He is also entitled to be a part of the rich history and celebrate the many titles his team has won. I would be willing to bet that if...
