Russ 12th best player in the NFL?

Maybe he was going to be somewhere in the bottom of the top 10 and someone decided to get cute and make him #12 as a shout out to the 12s?? In any event, I don't think 12 is an insult and is probably about right all things considered, including our homer bias. I'm just glad we have him.

    Tate back to Seattle?

Nah, would be nice for nostalgia's sake, but there have got to be other/better options out there unless it is a team-friendly deal and comes with no drama.

SEATTLE SEAHAWKS 2020 NFC WEST CHAMPIONS

No one can ever take that away! Although they should.

Throwback Poll: Was Shaun Alexander Soft?

Smooth and talented runner with great vision who also had the benefit of running through gigantic holes opened by one of the best left sides in NFL history (Jones/Hutch). Not to say he wasn't great, but compared to the running style of Marshawn/Carson, he ran soft.

    Explanation..Pete what happened?

I'm drunk too and this game is on Russ and the D. Not Pete.

    Nothing But Love

Agree. Injuries were tough this year. Need a little bit of luck next time around. Not bad for a rebuilding year. Some things to correct as there always are.

    You Predict: Russell

My sense is a contract that gives him both the biggest signing bonus and most guaranteed money in NFL history, but not by a crazy amount. The next name QB up for a contract extension will then exceed Russ. Get it done, front office!

    Define Success For 2019

Rams come back to earth a bit, Seahawks take the division and win a home playoff game. Getting a bye the first round would be great, but that's a pretty high expectation for this year.

If Rams win or Rams lose...

Can't cheer for the Patriots under any circumstance, so I'm hoping the Rams get theirs this year, and that a combination of free agent departures, lack of focus after getting a ring, and Goff coming off the rookie deal bring them back to earth. Hawks retake the division next year.

    Rams Vs Cowboys

I'm a Rams fan. For the day... Thing that makes me most nervous is the Rams being consistently bad (23rd in league) against the run. If the Boys can establish the run, slow the game down, mix in a turnover or two, they could make things interesting. Hoping for Rams 50 Cowboys 3 Guessing...

    Completely Conservative and Pointless Gameplan

Could not believe how vanilla the game plan was. No imagination, nothing new. I understand wanting to establish the running game but when it was not going to happen, needed to open things up a bit. Do we have any WRs other than Lockett and Baldwin? Really disappointing to lose like that.

This might be the most important stat for our defense

Something sorely lacking last year and the first half of this year. Have really seen improvement in this area. Surprised that the Texans are down that low given the big names on their D.

Aros' Fearless Prediction Thread - (Cardinals @ Seahawks)

That score looks about right to me. I think with a younger team carrying forward some good momentum into the playoffs is important. Cards keep it close in the first half, Hawks run the ball effectively and pull away in the second half as the Cards start thinking about tee times the following week.

    A few thoughts about Sunday

Thanks for the well-reasoned post. While people get sick of Pete and Russ's blue sky post-game pressers after losses like this, it is as Russ said a learning experience for a young team. Much of the pain was self-inflicted, but as the OP points out, a lot had to go wrong in a divisional trap...

It's amazing how many posts per day we have

Excitement is back after a couple of tough seasons. Needed to come down from expecting to win every Sunday and return to anticipating a win every Sunday. Big difference, at least I have felt it.

Brian Schottenheimer - future Seahawks Head Coach

I would guess Pete re-ups for a short extension. He just looks like he's having too much fun to step aside.

MNF could be a “color rush” game

Would so much rather see the retros than these green highlighters. Anyone buy one of those original #84 Houshmandzadeh lime green jerseys? Punch yourself in the face for all of us. Go Hawks.

    NFC Playoff Scenarios [Week 14]

Good work Polaris. I really see Dallas getting that #4 (or #3) seed based upon their remaining schedule. I just don't see Philly having enough to get it done, especially with games left @Rams and against Houston, who has seemingly forgotten how to lose. I have no problem with a Hawks/Cowboys...
