    Pre-Free Agency Mock draft

I like your whole writeup, but this is what interests me the most. I'm probably at the far end of the opinion spectrum about how much a TE can help the Hawks. Even with Graham returning sometime and what Willson can do, I think it's one of the best ways to help the offense be more consistent and...

2015 QB Stats broken down by pass length

Anybody know where there's one that goes by air yards?

    New two-round mock draft

Which makes it that much more of a shame that development opportunities have been reduced so much in recent years. Some of it is even basically by choice due to lack of patience with coaches. Too many decisions on coaches, and therefore by coaches, are made for small benefits in the short-term...

Could we have beaten these Broncos?

I don't want to be the idiot that says Denver didn't have a great defense, but they had 3 postseason matchups that certainly helped them look good. They likely lose the first one if the morons don't let Peyton slide down and get up to throw for a big play. A matchup with the Hawks would probably...

Seahawks Sign Multiple Players to Futures Contracts

I think what the team did showed the opposite. He started because Lewis was and is the low ceiling guy, and they felt Nowak had more potential, and probably still do. He happened to be far from ready though, and the relatively low likelihood of getting near that high ceiling is the issue. The...

Seahawks Sign Multiple Players to Futures Contracts

Completely disagree. Shirley would be a big liability in any aspect of coverage. Irvin's value is that he can cover at a high level and be a good hand-on-the-ground rusher. There are guys who do each of them better, but pretty much every one of them does the other one at a lower level. Von...

Two-round mock draft & why Panthers O-line matters to SEA

Yup, and no plan is going to have the same effectiveness for many teams or for very long. I'm still of the opinion that Carolina's o-line looked better in the regular season than they are and the Hawks' isn't as bad nor as good as the varying offensive production made them look. It's important...

PFF RE-GRADING THE 2010 NFL DRAFT

And wow on some of the grades. Brandon Graham almost double the cumulative value of Earl and basically equal to JPP? Their system has problems, but it is also poorly applied.

PFF RE-GRADING THE 2010 NFL DRAFT

Yeah, their scores can really seem out of left field. This is an example of a player being punished, relative to another, for playing a lot.

    Kenneth Dixon

Would be nice, but it's hard to imagine them feeling anywhere near that kind of pressure on a RB. Elliott's the cream of this crop, but he's no Gurley or Fournette. It would be a massive mistake for them to include as much as their 3rd; going beyond that I think even they would be smart enough...

Uh oh... Jared Goff is screwed

Clowney had and has his issues (health and drive), but this take is way off base. That play didn't exactly come out of nowhere and he had long been touted as a probable #1 pick. I agree about the overreaction to OBJ's catch. Grimes made a very similar catch on an interception a couple weeks...

Two-round mock draft & why Panthers O-line matters to SEA

Anything resembling a DB is way off the table for Feeney. Even if he plays LB, he's gonna be a liability covering anything much deeper than the flat.

    Bruce Irvin vs Fletcher Cox

I don't know if it's all that many getting it done; it seems like much of the interior damage is done by ends shifting down. It is a big response to the evolution of offense. Many teams do very little power running anymore, TEs are glorified receivers and true FBs barely exist.

    Bruce Irvin vs Fletcher Cox

Howard would be nice, but I'd be surprised if the rest of the league makes the same mistake they did with Bennett and Avril and some team didn't give Jaye more than the Hawks can.

    Bruce Irvin vs Fletcher Cox

Definitely could have prevented that steal of a move.

Two-round mock draft & why Panthers O-line matters to SEA

I'd be concerned about deemphasizing the edge and overrating a line's ability based on team production. I think Carolina's line looks better than they are based on their staff's self-awareness and Cam's abilities (and having a TE who can block). I also see them as having a much better team than...

    The annual bone-headed FO/FA move

Your memory of the Ahman Green deal is waaay off. He was traded before Alexander was drafted and did not come with anything, but in fact a token drop in draft position (5th for 6th); it was truly a player dump as Vinson was never seen as much of an asset. To me Adrian Beltre is a better example...

    Burfict suspended .....

I agree with the suspension, but this is definitely a case that illustrates how much personality and image matter. Clay Matthews and and Von Miller are a couple examples of guys who have a similar history of blatant violations of safety-related playing rules; public image and to some extent...
