Chuck Powell interesting idea - trade Russell

Ok, them along with the 2001 Ravens are extreme outliers. You think that is a model because 2 franchises have managed to win SB's with below average QB play? You failed to address the entirety of my post. Also, didn't Denver fail to make the playoffs this year? Is that the kind of consistency...

Chuck Powell interesting idea - trade Russell

I think what people are trying to say with that is, the running game and offense came around when Russ got here. The only difference between the 2011 and 2012 team on offense is Russell (and JR Sneezy but he was a mess his rookie year). I don't think it is a coincidence that the running game all...

Kicker Blair Walsh signed (Yes that Blair Walsh)

I am all for moving on from Hauschka, but I would be pretty surprised if he netted nearly enough in free agency to get us a comp pick.

Kicker Blair Walsh signed (Yes that Blair Walsh)

My feelings on Walsh. He has had 2 bad years in the league and obviously we all remember the miss that sent us to Carolina. But, his first 2 years in the league he was arguably the best kicker in the league and has a huge leg. So, if he is right between the ears it could be a nice signing. I...

Chuck Powell interesting idea - trade Russell

To be fair, both Wilson and Flacco won their SB before they got their contract extension. Also, Brady is severely underpaid. BTW, I do not agree in any way with the OP.

Kicker Blair Walsh signed (Yes that Blair Walsh)

Side note...look how hungry we are for new news. I can't wait for the meat of the offseason to actually start.

Kicker Blair Walsh signed (Yes that Blair Walsh)

Ya, I agree with kickers it is almost always in between the ears. Hausch has always had a low trajectory, it has bothered me since day one. You can watch his kicks going back since he got here and try and count how many times had a waved hand been timed properly it would have blocked the...

Kicker Blair Walsh signed (Yes that Blair Walsh)

Certainly possible. I just got the sense that Pete was done. The guy uses a 4 iron while chipping the green. Too many PAT's blocked without any pressure happening, just a guy at the line of scrimmage waving his hand and getting lucky. That crap can't happen. I think it is just Hausch's style...

Kicker Blair Walsh signed (Yes that Blair Walsh)

Hausch is a FA so I am thinking they are moving on from him. Which is fine. I think the low kicks (especially on the PAT's) drove Pete nuts. He commented on it in a passive aggressive way a few times this last year. I do think they bring in a Rookie to compete with Walsh though.

Best Running Backs in the 2017 Draft

IMO, Foreman needs an outstanding line to have any success in the NFL. He has good feet for his size and his long speed is actually really good. He just lacks natural vision and he isn't the bruiser you would think for a guy thats almost 250. Now, when he gets going he is tough to bring down...

    OK

I am of belief that getting a rock solid Tackle in FA would do wonders in turning the unit into a very good unit. I like the idea of going hard after Whitworth. Give him a 2 year deal, plug him in at LT. This allows you to continue to develop Fant, but you aren't relying on him...how it should...

    OK

I agree, and like the work of the writers on Fieldgulls most of the time. The problem is, they write on what they see. What I mean is, they (like many of us) observe what the players are executing. This doesn't take into account what they are taught, what goes on at practice, etc. A coach can...

    OK

I am indifferent about Cable. I see why many are frustrated with him, and I share a lot of that at times. I think his overall evaluation of talent just is not good and is given too much say on the personnel of the OL....that is his weakness IMO. We have seen him turn McQuistan into a serviceable...

Are the Falcons better off now???..,

Sorry, was referring to yards and it is 6 of 9, not 7. The fiasco that was WAS I do not put the blame on him at all. He built his entire offense around RGIII, which was tremendous his rookie year. A guy he built his entire offense around could not stay healthy and created controversy. When...

Are the Falcons better off now???..,

7 of his 9 years as an OC he has fielded a top 10 offense in the league. I would say that is consistently successful. When he has a legitimate chance to implement his offense, there is no one better at scheming his players to the best of their capability to me. He utilizes his talent as good as...

Are the Falcons better off now???..,

No, they are not. His scheme is a big reason for their offenses success this year. The Falcons offense this year was one of the best of all time. He has been successful about everywhere he has gone. RGIII's rookie year was with him as his OC, best year of his career. The guy is an offensive...

    OK

He will hold anyone accountable. But do this, name one situation where a QB controversy or competition has ended well. You need stability at QB, it is a position that the number one NEEDS all of the reps. We have stability at QB. You don't just go creating controversy at that position for no...

    OK

LOL alright man nothing I am going to say will change your mind obviously, but this is ridiculous. You pay what the market is for a player at the time. He deserved every penny he got. It is common to pay for a career arch in which you know he will get to the level of play of those guys during...

    OK

Really? Brady has been in the league for 17 years, Brees 16 years, Roethlisberger 13 years, Rodgers 12 years, Ryan 9 years. Do you see a common theme to the players you mentioned? They have all been in the league a long time. Russ just finished year 5. Go look up stats from the first 5 years...
