A Hawk fan from the beginning......some of my memories

I do not post often, but on the verge of greatness, thought i would share the thoughts of someone old enough to be a fan from the beginning. Most are good, a few not so much...... 70's & 80's: too young to drive, hitching rides to Cheney WA ( 25 miles away) to watch training camp. Got to sit...

    Saturday game time

Start time with East coast vs. West coast team does matter. See the attachment (it is a deadspin article, but the reasearch is legit) http://deadspin.com/5934440/the-circadi ... -nfl-teams

    keeping Quinn

I think you are right about blowing it up in SF. They may go after one of the "QB whisperers" to try and fix Kaep.

    keeping Quinn

Here is a list of talked about coaching candidates. So far only five jobs but there is always the possibility of others coming open. Coordinators: Bowles, Quinn, Gase, McDaniels, Bevell, Cable, RE-treads: Rex, Shanahan, Smith, Hue Jackson, Del Rio, Sparano, others I am sure College guys...

Do we lose Quinn? Cable? or both?

Hard to say, so far the experts are saying....... 49ers: If they hire an assistant, they probably stay in house Bears: Shanahan sounds like the front runner Atlanta: Could see Quinn going there, probably going for a defensive mind if its not McDaniels Jets: Want to hire a "personality"...

Turbin Pick or PI or just running a crossing pattern?

To truly be a pick, you have to make contact with the OTHER defender....... Turbin makes contact or has contact made on him with his defender. This could have been illegal contact on SF

Breakdown on the 7 sacks, and more.

I watched an interview many, many years ago with the late Bill Walsh on what made his "west coast" offense so great. He mentioned the use of receivers in "layers" of the field.... some deep, some short, some intermediate. Looking at these still shots, that concept is not put to use at all...

    I'm so tired of bevell....

Both plays should have gotten Wilson on the edge with a run/pass option. Looks like if Wilson keeps on the second 4th down, he has a better chance than Lynch did. There is a LB semi-staying home, but it would have been a better chance. Play looked a run to Lynch all the way to me. Have heard...

    We are thin at DT...literally

We showed some 3-4 looks against the Raiders and Giants. Early in both games you can see base personnel with 3 guys down and 4 LB's standing up.....I think Avril may be up as a LB. Pete has always said he plays 3-4 with 4-3 personnel. I would not be surprised if you see 3-4 looks especially...

I had it also.....My good friend still has some issues. They are not in very good shape, wish I would have kept them all. Even had the very first one.

    Trust broken?

Of course all the players are going to say the situation was salvageable or they "didn't see it coming" or even "we wish Percy well" even if they hated Percy's guts. Has anyone seen a tweet or post of any kind where a player said they were glad someone was traded? RW's "none of your business"...

Injuries are takin a toll---get off the ledge

Well said. health is probably the biggest factor in today's NFL. Few teams have depth at many positions. Nearly every game (maybe not the Jags), comes down to 3-5 plays. To dominate there is very little margin for error!

BREAKING NEWS: Percy Harvin Traded to Jets

If its injury related he will fail his Jets physical and be back with the 'Hawks. This has to be due to chemistry. Albert Breer on twitter just posted "anger issues" & Bleacher Report (I know, I know) just posted the WR room had "issues" with him. So read between the lines on Baldwin's...

    Bigger issues

Has to be. I remember way, way back we cut Keith Millard the day after his best game as a 'Hawk. Come to find out later, he took a swing at his position coach after the game. Not saying Harvin punched anyone, but probably much of the problems DB was eluding to dealt with Harvin. He was...

    Cassius Marsh and Bruce Irvin

"Owned" may have been a poor choice of words to use to describe Marsh's play, but he isn't getting much done in the pressure dept., and no, stats are not a great measure of play but when you are comparing defensive players, its pretty much apples to oranges to compare a LB or DE (who is supposed...
