    Recovery from Cold Weather Exposure

Great question...... don't know scientifically, but I do have to work in extremes of hot and cold. The heat seems to take longer to recover from than the cold IMO. Always feels like warming up and being regular is easier than cooling down, re-hydrating etc.. Also played in a football game...

Not Franchise, Hasn’t Won when needing 24+ (long)

Similar pattern in 15 of these loses to this year. Team has the lead in the fourth and cannot hold it........ Reason? Offensive inconsistency to put together enough drives to build on the leads which also leads to the defense being gassed in the fourth or something else?

    Bevells main play

Not to defend the play call in the SB, but I have seen that route combo ran near the goal line in both college and pro a bunch, usually it goes for 6. The Indiana play was not that route combination.

Looking at week 7 Snap Counts

looking at those numbers, the 'Hawks were close to being in base defense the entire game. All 3 LB's played every snap. Couldn't watch this game too closely due to family event, so not sure how much Bruce played DE on passing downs.

    Number of times sacked

This is spot on, and when they are on the backside, they try and cut everyone and it looks like the rest of the NFL is onto the whole backside cutblock. Defensive players are getting their hands ready and the cut is ineffective. This line looks like it needs to go back to HS "count off blocking".

Why don't we adjust for blitzes?

Some pre-snap motion would also help determine where the pressure is coming from. Jackson needed to be the "hot" receiver in the flat...... dump the ball over the blitzers, Fred is off to the races.

I'm not enjoying this season. At all.

absolutely correct..... window is still open, team is "off" this year. I am sure you me and all the fans on this board feel some of the same emotional drain of the past three seasons. If its like that for us, how do you think the team feels right now???

    Pete

If the offense continues like this there will be no choice but to make changes on the offensive side of the ball. the OC and probably the entire offensive staff would be gone. Trick is who do you go and get? Richard probably gets a pass due to it being his first year. With the drop off in...

Bring in this guy at the Bye

Good point on the Dolphins offense!!!!! Maybe this just shows how desperate I feel right now!!!!

Bring in this guy at the Bye

Not sure a whole new playbook is necessarily needed. Just some continuity in running plays and not being so damn predictable.

Bring in this guy at the Bye

I'll take that too! I don't think Pete can do nothing if things stay like this. Pretty hard to can a coach after winning it all, but now........

Bring in this guy at the Bye

Joe Philbin In 2003, Philbin joined the Green Bay Packers coaching staff. He spent nine years in Green Bay. During his tenure as offensive coordinator (2007–2011), the Packers offense ranked in the top 10 in the NFL for points scored and total yards every year, including their Super Bowl season.[

The emotional drain of the past three seasons

With the style of play that the Seahawks have played the past three plus season have been emotionally draining for us as fans. Think of what that has done mentally and physically on the players. Somewhere around 30 games have been decided by less than 10 points since RW has been the QB. This...

    Finish This Statement:

Still open. Odds are against a repeat this year, which may be okay. Lots of extra wear and tear on these guys from the past three years. However, if they sneak into the playoffs, they may be back this year. Team needs a good solid draft and some decent FA additions, not marquee guys, but...

    Disgusting stat

Defense has to be gassed. The second half touchdowns came on a long run followed by a defensive score. How many plays did the offense run after that? IIRC there were not many first downs by the offense. Also with the way the defense plays, it takes long sustained drives to score, thus more...

    the futility of the O-line

Watching many plays over on various posts..... here is what I see with the o-line. Britt and Nowak cannot play in space at all, technique is terrible. Many of their "whiffs" in space the offense would at least get a yard if they made contact with the second level or backside guys. It looks...

    refs gave us the win...

Tend to agree. In basketball many fouls aren't called because there is no advantage to the contact that was made. I think the back judge saw the ball was going out either way, with no Lion in the zip code so he let it go. No advantage for the Seahawks, no penalty.

    Remember these ugly ones??????

I've been a 'Hawk fan since the 70's. I am happy with any win. Which was the point of the OP. Each win needs to be celebrated, they are hard to get!

    Remember these ugly ones??????

The OP was not a complaint about how the 'Hawks win, its simply a statement that many games are filled with missed plays and opportunities. After the way the '13 season wrapped up, I think many fans forgot about some of the wins that were ugly, more difficult than expected etc.
