    Worst Seahawk losses ever (non-Superbowl)

The KC rain game hurt my feelings the most of nearly any loss.

    Your best Seahawk moments

I’m pretty proud to say that I witnessed both the Hamlin hit and the Kam hit on VD in person. I didn’t see the Darryl Willaims hit and I could have gone to the game! I was doing something dumb like band practice.

Trent Dilfer says Hasselebeck is greatest Seahawks QB

Exactly. Wilson is a super exciting and dynamic player and we are lucky to have him, but say we had gotten by the Raiders in 83, then we would have smashed the 'skins and Krieg would be the local Joe Montana. Hass and Co. not getting boned in XL. If Hass or Krieg had the LOB and their offense...

    NFC West 19 years...

This board was loaded full of that back in the day. I remember "SeahawksFanSteveHarper" always ranting about "Playoffs or layoffs. It was so prevalent, that some dude made a proto-meme of someone pushing Steve over the ramps on the kingdome. I was here from way back, and somehow lost my...

    Strongest division in football

From the article...WTF? in bold. "Since 2015 the Seahawks have been in a position of being good enough to make the playoffs but not good enough to make the Super Bowl. They’ve only won the NFC West once in the last five years — in 2016. In that same five year period the Niners and Rams have...

NFL to ditch one helmet per year

Yes I remember! I >Re: was >>Re: posting >>>Re: here >>>>Re: back >>>>>Re: when >>>>>>Re: threads >>>>>>>Re: looked >>>>>>>>Re: like >>>>>>>>>Re: this Not gonna lie, I was butthurt about the Gen 2 Seahawks unis because of the blue helmet and white pants. I was at least a little happy in...

BOB, DAVE AND MOORE -- Hour 3: Dave Krieg

Dave Krieg is still my favorite Hawk. Link? :)

High School > XFL > NFL

Sort of a side note, but I can see some players with less academic abilities totally bypassing the NCAA and going pro out of the gate in the XFL. If so, the SEC might be in trouble... 8) It would also really elevate the level of play to effectively have a trade school for good players...

    Logo and Uniforms

I don't know if I see it as blue + green = Seattle sports. Perhaps I am the only one to have noticed this, but back in the day the three major sports franchises in Seattle were sort of a triangle diagram of the same color pattern. The SuperSonics (first) were green and yellow, The Seahawks...

    Weirdest Seahawks' Game Ever?

The weirdest game (in a different way) I can remember was the crazy rain delay game in KC where there were waterfalls coming down the bleachers. Then we got burned by a surprise long pass to lose the game. I know this is totally unrelated and not with the spirit of the thread about odd...

"The Boz" to raise the 12 flag Sunday?

This post was sooooooo good that I copy pasted it into a big long argument I am having on a retro seattle facebook page. You would think a lot of the people who were here before the big boom would remember the Boz more fondly. But nope. A lot of them are fairweather types, too.

Not a fan but thought this was pretty cool

I wasn't at the game, but I saw it live on TV! It was a pretty big event, as most Hawks/Broncos games were. I remember being stoked at the outcome, but still kinda butthurt over the play because my boy Krieg threw the pick.

The Hawks and 49ers have made history, together.

There'd be no salty tears from me. As I said in another thread, seeding by overall record would make the NFL edge closer to something like the college football playoff, and that system sucks. I will live with the outlier losing teams getting in with a better seeding vs devaluing conference play.

Florio calls for revised playoff seeding, invokes Hawks 7-9

I'm OK with having to go away against a sub-.500 team, should we not win the west. Divisions need to mean something, or the NFL will become something close to the CFP, which sucks massive ass. That said, I was pretty embarrassed for the Seahawks in 2010 (until the beast quake). It was a weird...

    Our history in the league

I was at that Hawks/Oilers game in 1988. Sooooo awesome! It wasn't my first Seahawks game, but it was the first where I fully understood what was going on, and what wins and losses meant for the season. Thank you for rekindling my memories.

When did you start following the Seahawks?

I started watching as a kid in 1983ish, but knew what was going on by about 1986. I felt my first real football pain when we lost to Cinncinatti in the 1988 playoffs.

Why do NFL teams stink at onside kicks?

I wish the old rules for onside kicks came back. Like everyone stacked on one side of the field and you got a running start. I am actually surprised the league has made them harder vs easier, as it makes the games a lot more exciting at the end.

There should be an 8 team playoff

The playoff should be expanded to eight teams if for no other reason than to keep more of the country engaged in their team for the whole season. If you are a school not named Clemson or Alabama, you are pretty much deflated with one loss, and totally uninvested with two. All P5 conference...

Midweek Debate: What is the biggest issue facing the Huskies

The biggest issue facing the Huskies is the same issue facing 126 other contending college football program has: four playoff spots and three nearly permanent members of the CFP. That leaves schools not named Alabama, Ohio State, and Clemson to fight for one spot. The playoff needs expanding...

    CFP Predictions

We don't need to be undefeated to make the CFP, but a loss to the third best SEC team will savagely hurt our chances. I haven't been this stressed out for a football game since SB XVLIII. Close against the Patriots, and close when the Huskies played Bama. But this is make or break on week 1...
