POLL: What's Your Thoughts On The Retros?

I don’t really like the current unis. So I’m all for this full time.

    What do you think about

The Cards and Lions need top to bottom new team names, logo, and unis. Both are just sad. The lions name, logo, and uniform look OK but their history is just depressing. The Cards are the same but they also have a DUMB name, color scheme, logo, and uniform.

Anybody ever visit a city with an NFL team and thought their team should be better?

San Diego was team 2 for me in the mid 2000s. I was stationed at Camp Pendleton and they were not the other 3 infernal teams I hated back in the AFCW. They were really good with LT and Brees back then. But I still think we were better. Now I live in Texas and I passively root for the boys when...

    When the Seahawks are eliminated...

I only root for the really lowly teams out of that list. Teams that have had lots of time at the bottom being trash like Cincinnati or Detroit. I probably would have rooted for AZ if we had won XL, but in that case, I was a petty hater. I did NOT root for Philly before they finally won. There's...

Who deserves to be in the Ring of Honor?

Dave Krieg is already in the RoH.

    Most liked 'sleeper'/'forgotten' Hawks.

My first pics have been mentioned by other people, but I can't help but notice Lofa isn't on anyone's list. He's on mine. I also enjoyed Kitna in his time. He isn't getting on the Seahawk Mt. Rushmore or anything, but the dude had some spark to him. The end of the DE era hawks was ALMOST a...

    GOAT Seahawks Quarterback

Actually I think you can. Ask yourself which mishmash unit is more successful over all (playing same-era-contemporaries): The Knox era offense + LOB era defense or The Wilson era offense + Knox era Seahawks defense. The answer ALWAYS lies with whatever combo has the LOB. They were just THAT...

Blast from the past; Seahawks first real taste of glory

TO ME, these Seahawks (1983-1989) are THE SEAHAWKS. Every iteration since has been, in my mind, sort of a sequel of sorts. I can't explain why except that I was just getting into football back then and I became totally emotionally attached to them.

Would you rather - Superbowl XL or 49 edition.

XL by a long shot for me. 49 sucked and it is embarrassing, but at least we lost fair and square. XL still burns.

Hawks Glasses Off: Beastquake Best Run Ever?

The thing that makes any play truly great is the context that it happened in. So I, as a Seahawks fan, know why the Beast Quake was special, but have a harder time trying to judge the context of a run from another team. The thing is, I don't really know of any other signature runs that look as...

    Watch out for Lions!

Not that we actually "owe" them anything, but it's a win that I will appreciate for a while. I'm pulling for them in any way that doesn't affect the hawks, and if they get past us, I will pull for them to finally end the curse.

    Retire #3 for Norm Johnson.

Well at least John gets it.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but with Bobby in at LB, there's no way the Raiders win on that draw play in OT and we have a strong chance to finish the season with 10 wins. I just don't know why we didn't keep him around. It's the one thing the FO did that made me really think they were planning a...

Brady aside… Mahomes is the GOAT.

Brady took the GOAT monker from Joe Montana. When? I'd say after the epic 28-3 comeback win. Everything after that only made him harder to catch. But Montana is still #2 and will be until someone hits or exceeds 5 rings.

    Super Bowl predictions

I’ll argue with you all day about whether it was a catch or not, but that’s not my point. My point is why would the refs overturn a call for the chiefs if they were steering for them when they had the ruling on the field they needed to make it stand?

Another SB Rigged and Fixed by the league

No, you don't have to take another step to have an NFL completion. You can stand right where you are. You have to make a football move, and he did so when he turned his upper body forward—before contact—to begin a run. It was a catch, fumble, and a TD per the rules. ETA, he could have taken a...

Another SB Rigged and Fixed by the league

As said in another thread: if the game was steered in favor of KC, why call back their legit fumble recovery TD?

    Super Bowl predictions

If it was fixed for KC then why overturn an obvious fumble/TD recovery on the Chiefs' behalf? That was control, possession, football move (turning into the defender to run down field).
